Lumix Dmc Zs100 Manual

This is my second Panasonic Lumix digital camera. My first was the Lumix DMC - ZS100, which us still an important travel camera for me. Travel being, riding my bike. What I enjoy is taking photos of flowers, birds, and landscapes especially with clouds. I purchased the DC - FZ1000 II 8 months ago as I wanted a greater lens range. To date I absolutely love this camera. What I use predominately is the auto focus mode. I need to spend more time learning the camera's features, which for a novice can feel overwhelming. I really like the weight and feel of the camera. It is not very heavy and the right handed grip is solid. The neck strap works well along with lacing my right arm through the strap and then having the camera fit right under my right arm. I use the live view finder exclusively. It is a wonderful size, comfortable on my face, and easy to adjust the sharpness with the diopter. There is a camera noise when the camera is turned on. This is not any distraction for me. I am looking forward to expanding my camera knowledge and language to branch out with unique settings. For my current comfort level and a ready shoot, I am stuck on auto focus. Compared to the DMC - ZS100, the battery requires more frequent charging.

Fine case, fits my Lumix DMC-ZS100 perfectly. I tried a different case first, but the case was just too small. The camera fits comfortably in the main compartment, with room for a spare batter and a spare SD storage card or two in the front compartment. Belt strap solid, and the shoulder strap, which I have not used yet, seem fine. Suggest you put the camera in lens-end first, as it gives you a better hand grip for inserting and removing the camera.

I needed a compact, semi-professional camera for a recent trip, and the Lumix DMC-ZS100 met all of my requirements. One feature that I personally found particularly useful was the electronic view-finder. While not the most robust camera that I have owned, it is well made, with excellent fit and finish.

Bought the Lumix DMC-ZS100 for a vacation where I did not want to lug around my D810 and host of lenses. Critical to my purchase was lens speed, sharpness, and length. The ZS100 met and exceed all of my criteria. I will need another vacation to figure out the full range of its capabilities - and it is a huge range. Basic functions of aperture and exposure adjustment were very easy to use and the custom image settings made for some remarkable scenes. Night portrait was really nice.

I looked everywhere for a decent looking case for my DMC-ZS100 and even though a reviewer gave his away because it wouldn't fit, I went to the store and tried it. It was snug and you have to remove the camera from the case to access the battery/card compartment, it is worth it to have a strong case with a good neck strap. I plan to modify it and cut out the opening so I can get at the battery on the fly but for now I am so pleased with my purchase.
