M Audio Bx8 D2 Dj Studio Monitor

I was shopping around to upgrade from my aging M-Audio BX8's, these things are in a completely different league.� The ribbon tweeters and waveguide produce such a large, perfect sounding sweet spot.� I don't ever want to take my head out of in front of these things.� Size wise, they're a step down from my BX8's, and I am missing feeling freqs below 30-40htz.� I'm considering a sub to correct this.� Hopefully ADAM decides to make a T-Series sub.

We use the product for audio production and for the DJ's.

I use the Profo D2 in studio and in the field with my B1s & B2s. It works flawlessly. The menu interface on the back of the strobe works much better the than the B1s.

I already own two Profoto 500 w B1s and was looking for a third, so the D2 for studio work seemed like the perfect complement to the kit. I also wanted the quick recycle time and speed. I have only had this unit a few weeks, so I've only used it on a couple occasions so far, but on a recent studio shoot it performed like a champ. I have a canon 1Dx and it had no problem keeping up with the 1Dx firing at 10 frames per second. What impressed me most was that the exposures were spot on and consistent from frame to frame, with little or no variation of power or color quality. I'd say if you're going to be working in the studio and need quick recycle and speed, you won't go wrong with this monolight.

I love all my Profoto products. They are phenomenal. I had a little difficulty at first with my D2 kit in the studio when using them with some of my older Norman and Photogenic lights in TTL mode, forgetting that once TTL with my Nikon Air remote, that i need to turn to manual when adding the other lights. Some of my other non-Profoto lights would misfire and the TTL exposures were all heavily underexposed. the other lights were not playing well with them in TTL modes. Once I thought about it, i remembered that I had to turn off the TTL setting on my remote after I had the balance that i wanted with just my Profotos firing before i added the non-TTL lights. The settings from my TTL exposures were held at the same levels once they were switched to manual. And these lights are powerful! I've been using my B1 kit and B2 kits on location for almost two years and have been waiting for the right time to get a studio kit as well. the D2 kit was worth the wait.

It eliminates all the troublesome and time consuming detangling of traditional camera microphone wires. I love the fact that I have options to record as a single file or two individual files, which saves me a remarkable time in post-production. This product has just been an amazing buy and I love it!!!

I'm using the headphones to monitor a camcorder's audio feed in a studio and on location. The folding design is practical and sturdy. So far I couldn't be more pleased.

In our radio station we use this amp to distribute monitor audio to studio monitors, CD recorders, MP3 recorders and phone system. The adjustable levels on each output support broadcast and consumer equipment looking for -10 or +4 levels. This DA is built like a tank. As our first piece of Rolls gear at a very nice cost, we will be considering their other gear in the future.

I recently upgraded my studio with a 16-in/16/out audio interface, but with no headphone jack and no monitor control. This little box solved my monitor control issue perfectly. Extremely transparent to my ears, very solid build, all the controls have a nice feel to them, and great looks. The wood sides are more of a walnut color than what's shown on the website, which was perfect. Highly recommended.

Sony Studio Monitor MDR-7506's are alone in their class. All the field audio engineers and camera operators I know use this headphone to monitor audio recorded on location. They are ruggedly built, comfortable enough to wear for hours, and accurately represent what is being recorded.
