M43 Camera Backpack

This M43 active lock mount was much needed for my z cam e2 m4 as the original m43 mount on my e2 m4 had way too much wiggle between the camera and lens mount. Now with the m43 active lock my m43 mount lenses are mounted nice and firm to the mount and camera. It's easy to install with only 4 screws and the lock on the mount works great. Overall I am very happy with the product and my purchase. Recommend.

I wanted to have lightweight tripod for daily use and it is fit for the purpose. If you have m43 camera, this is perfect.

I am new to the m43 world. I have shot canon for years from film to digital with my main camera and lens combo a 5d3 and 35L. Got a g7 for a smaller family camera and for the video capabilities. This is a perfect camera. Super sharp. Quick. Good color. Oh and super small. If you have a m43 camera, this is a must own lens.

My all time favorite m43 lens. Sharp from edge to edge with 1 stop down. This thing is on my camera body most of the time now, and I'm having so much fun and so many great pics. I chose this over the Olympus 7-14mm mainly for the filter threads by the way. But also for the zoom range. I find 8-18mm more versatile than 7-14mm.

I shoot both Nikon FX DSLR & m43 with great glass on both systems. I use m43 to bring the smallest/best possible camera & lens with me in social situations where one cannot appear to be a pro photographer. Restaurants, nightlife & concerts. The Zuiko Pro 17/1.2 is my #1 lens for this purpose. It on an E-M5 III looks like a serious camera but is inconspicuous enough to not kill the vibe while I'm out living an interesting life and taking photographs along the way. You can shoot wide open at f/1.2 and have thin but usable DOF. Close up food photography I'll stop down anywhere from f/1.6 to f/4 depending on how much DOF I want. Sharpness, color, contrast, smoothness of bokeh, whatever optical criteria is close enough to flawless. Focus is super fast on Olympus phase detect bodies, silent, accurate & the build quality is impeccable. My only knock is the Zuiko Pro lens hoods aren't as nice as the top spec PanaLeicas but such is life. They're fine. I'm not complaining. The results speak for themselves. Just buy it!

I'm a long time Micro Four Thirds camera user, and I've had many Panasonic M43 cameras over the years. I purchased the G100D to replace my much loved, but aging, GM5, as my small M43 body, to complement the G95 I have for the larger zooms. The G100D uses the same 20MP sensor as in the GX9 and G95, and its output is quite similar to that of the GX9. It also uses the same OLED EVF as the G95D, which is excellent. (This is a BIG improvement over the EVF in the original G100, and makes this a very worthy upgrade over that version). It does not have IBIS, but since most of my lenses do, that is a non-issue for me. (It works equally well with my Olympus/OM and Panasonic lenses, by the way). This is a camera that is not bristling with buttons, but has very flexible button assignments, and touch screen button options for even more direct access. Once you get it set up to your liking, it's simple, intuitive and easy to work with. And, of course, the output is what counts. On that score, this camera does just beautifully. It gets colors right, even on complex flower photography. It is M43, so it's not going to be happy shooting black cats in coal mines, but it has just excellent output in normal shooting situations. I think Panasonic missed a chunk of their audience when they marketed this as primarily a video product. It's a great, simple, small, camera that is really fun to use and excellent for photography, especially if you are looking for something that's quite portable to take with you easily.

I mounted this lens on my m43 Olympus. Mainly as a landscape lens and possibly in my underwater housing for wide angle. I either select aperture priority and only fuss with the f-stop and focus or manual mode and adjust shutter speed as well. It is a complete pleasure to use something this good that is exactly what it claims to be. Wide, sharp and fast. Built like a tank. Because it is a manual lens there is no lens data going to the camera. No autofocus, no auto aperture, no in camera lens distortion corrections. On the Olympus I enable focus assist. Magnify set to 7x and Peaking to Yellow to help get focus. On the 2x crop sensor you get corner to corner sharp at f2 with a pleasant blurred background. At f8 everything is in focus and sharp. Did I say this lens is sharp on the m43 sensors? f16 is useable but beyond that...nope. There are other 12mm f2 lenses out there for the m43 systems but the price of this beauty is so good I really couldn't justify paying twice as much. I've also tried a few legacy manual lenses. I enjoy using them especially for video but the image quality is just not on par. One caveat. My first instinct as with all of my lenses was to attach a protective uv filter. Taking a close look at the bulbous front element I believe a screw on filter would contact the front element if screwed down far enough. I hope this is helpful.

I bought into the Panasonic M43 ecosystem back with the release of the GH4. That camera served me well for 10 years as an A cam and still passes as a B cam on riskier doc shoots. Having regularly borrowed GH5 bodies from friends, I finally decided to purchase a new(er) gen camera. Even from the 5, the GH5MII is a noticeable improvement in quality and stabilization that will serve you well for the long run at a cheaper price - minus a few bells and whistles. Highly recommend.
