I’m new to the camera world and picked up a Leica M8 that shipped from Europe. The charger it came with was big, bulky, and needed an adapter to plug into a US outlet. I opted to get this as the new charger as well as a portable charging solution. Charging was relatively quick, but I carry two batteries with me, so while I’m using one, I can charge the other if it dies. It’s also great to view the charge status via the LCD screen as well. Unfortunately, this model of charger is discontinued (or so it says on the Nitecore website), so I might have to snag a second one in case if I lose the small but mighty charger I already own. I know I’ll be getting a 2nd more modern camera to compliment my M8, and when I do, I’ll be looking to get a small charger like this one for it as well.

I have always been a Leica user for many years, started with the M8, M9, Monochrom, now the Q2, this is simply an amazing camera, plus with my aging eyes, autofocus helps in so many ways, the high iso is the best of any camera, even the Sony IMO. The 28 mm with crop factors work excellent, esp for 35 & 5! The tonality and draw if the lens esp at 1.7 work for almost every situation! Buy it you wont be disappointed

Nothing fits a Leica like this Neoprene Case by Leica. Mine is on a M8 with the Leicatime bottom leather case and it fits like a glove. I have both the short and the long front style for different lenses. Once in the neoprene case it gives the camera a minimalistic look and doesn't draw attention to what it's protecting inside. The case is well made and great for a casual carry or for added protection while storing the camera in a larger camera case or bag.

I use Zeiss lens regularly on a Contax 645 camera and appreciate their quality and durability. The 28mm/f2.8 ZM lens was the first of the ZM range that I'd tried - and it is excellent. I'm using it on a Leica M8 - a camera I'm still getting used to. On the first outing, a walk though downtown Melbourne just after dawn when the street lights and shop windows were still on, it performed incredibly well with pin-sharp images, excellent tonal range and color rendition. I can't compare it with the more costly 28mm Leica lens for the M8, but for build quality, optical performance and durability, I don't feel I need to for the present anyway.

This is a great lens for use with the Leica M8 camera. But you need to encode it as a 24mm Leica Elemarit. Once encoded, with a 46mm IR/Cut filter in place, the colors are vibrant and beautiful. Without the encoding and IR/Cut filter, the colors are somewhat off. I hesitated buying this lens because all my other lenses for the M8 are Leica and I really like the look of Leica glass. And when I first put this lens on my M8 without the encoding, the colors just didn't look good. I was planning on sending it back, but then encoded it and WOW, the colors just popped. I now love the look of this lens and it will probably be on my camera more than my Leica glass.

I love this camera it is the best of the best for a digital camera.
