Mac 2008 Charger With 2011 Macbook Pro

2011 Macbook Pro.

They say it would work on a late 2011 MacBook Pro. It does.

As soon as I got this, my 2011 macbook pro is more useful than before. Helped me do my editing more convenient

Used this to install a 2.5 SSD drive in a 2008 Mac Pro.

First off, using this on a VGA projector shows a much smother animation during presentations than the older USB style from a MacBook Pro. I recently purchased a new MacBook Air from B&H. My last MacBook was purchased through them back in 2011. With the new MacBook came the need for the newer USB-C adaptor for work. The real direction of this review should go to B&H!  My 2011 Mac was also purchased from them. My wife bought it for me as a gift as I was starting my Bachelors Degree.  B&H’s customer service was just exceptional. I was able to actually call them to tell them what I needed rather than spending time fussing with the website selections. Apple has gone to their version of USB-C (Thunderbolt), I had no idea what I needed to connect to my business’s VGA monitors (for presentations). B&H transferred me to one of their Tech Support Gurus, who was also awesome and understanding. I was not given a bunch of technical jargon that would have left me confused. Everything from the Tech Support Represenative was like a plain old conversation. He helped me find the best adapter I was looking for and did not try to sell me the ones that were in the $80 - $100 range. It was refreshing that I was the focus of the transaction and not the amount of money they could have gotten from me. Within 3 days of placing my order I was up and running with a newer computer and making things happen. Thank you B&H for being so very accommodating with my upgrade. When I am ready to get another Mac, I will be coming back to you again. My daughter will be needing one for college very soon.

I upgraded to this Mac Pro from a 2008 Mac Pro. I am a professional photographer, and this new computer has given me a significant boost in productivity in Photoshop, Lightroom, etc. It was extremely easy to set up, is compact, powerful, and very cool. Some complain about the lack of slots, but honestly, with all of the power already packed into it, I do not miss it. Combined with an external RAID, it is amazing how quiet and efficient it feels. This model is a good compromise between power and price.

I was looking for a way to view my mac pro desktop 2008 model and my mini mac on the same screen this usb dvi cable kvm switch by IOGEAR is the perfect connection,i am very happy with this product it makes everything so simple.I would definitely recommend this product to anyone trying to connect 2 computers and view them on the same screen.

I have a 2008 Mac Pro 3.1 which I needed to upgrade with SSD drives and this fits perfectly. I bought two Intel 520 series SSD, one 240gb and one 120gb. Both were retail box and came with brackets but those will not work in the Mac Pro. Super easy install and setup.
