I got this to run an Apple 'superdrive' with a Mac Air M1. The drive consumes more power than can be transmitted by a combo adapter (like the Moshi Symbus Mini 7-in-1 portable USB-C hub I have). This Belkin adapter does the job. 5 |

I have been searching and searching for something like this since I purchased my m1 air. I love this mac and the inability to do multiple screens has been such a pain. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of this device. It may be a bit on the expensive side, but to have one device that charges and does displays is amazing. I fully recommend getting this product. 5 |

For any M1 Mac with a USB-C port (MacBook Air, Mac mini, MacBook Pro, Mac Studio) the Transcend will transfer at 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 1 speed and NOT 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 speeds. Interestingly enough, the additional provided USB-C to USB-A cable allows 10 Gb/s to the rear USB-A port of the Mac Studio even though Apple advertises the port to go up to only 5 Gb/s. The unit has a pleasant rubberized optional cover that feels good in hand and doesn't scratch other devices in your bag. 5 |
