Mac Latest Chip

I have owned several Rokinon lens for my Canons. This is my second 85mm with the latest one with the AE chip. Works great with my new Canon 6D. Super sharp and perfect bokeh. You will not be disappointed.

I just bought the latest Mac Air and needed all new connectors. I am not pleased that I needed to buy this, but it works as it should.

I plunged into Ventura on my silicon chip mac ahead of schedule and dislike the hybrid USB or C environment. I purchased this to store large file groups. Information copied amazingly fast and setup was minimal, especially compared to some other backup drives I have used, in the past. B&H is, as always, fast and reliable!

The mac mini with M2 chip is super FAST. I have a mac mini with 24 GB of RAM, 8 core CPU, 10 core GPU, and 1 Tb SSD). This is very FAST for my job, which is to develop mobile apps. The M2 chip and unified RAM do an excellent job. For many mobile app developers, maybe even only 16 GB of RAM is also more than fast enough for their jobs. By the way, please note that if you are a professional videographer or photographer, who needs to edit/produce/process lots of very large videos and photos, you may need to buy a lot more RAMs (such as 32GB, 64 GB, 92 GB, or even 128 GB of RAM). It depends on your need. The more RAM you have, the faster your computer will be for those kind of video editing/producing jobs. In addition, if you buy a mac studio or mac pro, you can even have faster computer with more CPU and GPU cores. However, for me and my job requirements, a mac mini is already super FAST. I am very happy with this purchase. I hope that his computer will last for a long time.

I recently upgraded my 2017 Mac Desktop with an Apple 24 iMac with M3 Chip (Blue). I am very happy with this model. It runs incredibly smooth and the transfer of all of my data and settings was flawless. I highly recommend this Apple Desktop model.

The physical drive itself is great. I really like the SoftRAID software it comes with but it has two issues: You have to completely disable Apple's T2 chip security feature for SoftRAID to install its driver. I believe if they worked with Apple, Apple could sign the driver and allow it to be installed with the T2 chip setting allowing T2 security turned on with SoftRAID driver. A fix may be on the way for that. Second, the RAID drive does not show up on the About this Mac Storage status. Not a big deal. Otherwise SoftRAID is very easy to use, clear graphical user interface. It is what Apple's RAID setup should be. So far I have had no need to use it to rebuild/recover a RAIDed drive. Therefore I can give no feedback. This is being used on a 2019 Mac Pro.

Simple install, nice connector fit (not too stiff). Heat sink install diagram out of date, turns out OWC updated the chip layout. Their support team was super responsive and sent a new diagram. Makes sense which chip to affix the heatsink to, and while it hangs off the side of the PCB, everything still fits perfectly under the Mac Pro 2013 outer shell, and temps appear controlled and consistent with the factory SSD. Nice to have the Envoy Pro enclosure included, restoring from that was much faster than the Time Machine backup on my NAS. Day to day operational speed is noticeably improved as well. Unexpected bonus: Boot Camp actually plays nicely with the new drive, despite the 6,1 Mac Pro not having official compatibility. The BC Assistant partitioned the drive with no complaints, and Windows 10 installed and runs fine. However, the outgoing Boot Camp partition on the factory SSD can't boot, but we expected that (error INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE, despite guides on injecting device drivers). So awesome upgrade, with bonus Boot Camp use.

For a long time I used to work with an old ipad, of the first generations and this new version is really comparable or even better than having a mac. The chip, the capability and the resolution makes the fact that it's touch a PARTYYY. Don't wait to get you one to work creatively, but as soon as you can, don't miss this opportunity.

The Apple 24" iMac with M1 chip is a vast improvement over my former Mac Mini. It's super fast, operates smoothly and fully accommodates ever I need in a computer and bright monitor.
