Mac Mini 2012 Bluetooth Keyboard

Loved my 2012 MacBook Pro, I really stressed over a replacement - initially ordered 2018 MB Air from B&H which arrived damaged and did re-think. It did feel like a hasty compromise when I ordered the MBA. I thought about how I used my 2012 MBP - mostly in one location and plugged into an outlet. The intrigue of the Mac Mini bit and stuck. I wanted BT 5.0 and that wasn't MADE available by Apple at the time. I liked the specs 3.0 chip, 256 GB etc and paired with Apple keyboard and mouse due to review complaints about connectivity with both devices. If there was an issue I would deliver all to the local Apple store and they could sort it out. I was really perplexed by Apple butterfly keyboard mechanism issues on their labtop line and their 4 year extended keyboard warranty from product introduction will roll around quickly. So Mac Mini with it's compromises (quiet speaker volume, no FaceTime camera or microphone) was decided and the last hurdle was finding a smaller display so I did not accidently knock it over. There are essentially 2 decent quality 14-16

I have a 2019 Mac Mini that always had weak bluetooth reception for my mouse & keyboard. I bought is as "refurbished" and this is probably why someone returned it in the first place. Anyway, to get to the point, I ordered 4 solutions from Amazon and this Mini USB adaptor was the only device that fixed my problem. I'm using that same keyboard & mouse to type this review. Even though there wer no instructions on the device, I did plug it in, turn off the Bluetooth reception in the Mac Settings, used a wired mouse to turn Bluetooth back on again and it has worked perfectly for the past 3 weeks. My frustration has ended!!! Thanks StarTech!

This upgrade breathed new life into my Mac Mini (late 2012).

Got this keyboard along with the Mac mini and I couldn’t be happier.

My Mac Mini (late 2012) was sluggish brand new out of the box. It was so frustratingly slow I have rarely used it since purchasing in 2013. So I finally decided to do this upgrade. Why on earth did I wait so long?! I am very pleased with this memory kit!

Easy to install in a late 2012 Mac mini. Substantial performance improvement over the original 4GB. Passed the extended Apple Hardware Test without any errors.

I purchased two of these enclosures to run on a 2012 Mac mini. It's working fine on both. They will eventually be used on a Synology DiskStation.

I have never had any problems with memory from OWC. It was super easy to install on a Mac Mini (late 2012) and worked right out of the box without any issues. The lifetime warranty on this memory also helps in the purchasing decision. B&H has always been extremely fair in the price and has saved me hundreds of dollars over buying memory directly from Apple. What more could you ask for?!!!

This little piece of hardware is amazing! I have another Mac mini that has been in use since 2012. It still works but was getting a little overrun with all the new graphics-intensive programs and slowing down. This new platform is blazing fast, and the graphical output is amazing! If you wondered if its worth upgrading, I say YES YES YES. And B&H as always is an amazing company to buy from!
