I use this to connect my Mini (2014) to an external bootable USB disk and USB devices. It has a sleep function when the Computer going into sleep mode. It gives many USB ports to use and also can daisy-chain my other Thunderbolt device. I use Apple Thunderbolt 3 to 2 adapter to connect this dock station to the Mini. Simple setup and very good product so far. Very satisfied with the B&H sales team for all the help and this purchase. 5 |

Going from a HD to and SSD on Mac Silicon is a real winner. Be prepared to add a 7-port USB hub to handle legacy hardware.
