Mac Mini To Windows Laptop

I love this. I use it for everything and I love that it can be used by both windows and mac.

Bought this Mac Mini to learn macOS. New to Mac and have never used one before (have always been a Windows PC user). Bought the Mac Mini with Intel i5 Six Core processor, and paired it with a 32 LG 4K display. So far so good! Impressive speed and ease of use. Easy to set up and very quiet machine. Comes with Mojave OS, which I just manually updated after powering on the machine and registering for the first time. YouTube and Netflix 4K videos looked awesome! B&H shipping is quick and Free - Im in California and I received my Mac in 3 days! Highly recommended especially if you are on a budget but want a good Mac to use and learn.

At my desk, I have a Mac Mini and a Windows PC that I switch between from time to time. Before, when switching between them, I would be swapping over the wireless mouse dongle from the Windows PC to the Mac, as well as a wired keyboard. Needless to say, that was a pain of a process, especially with the Mac Mini under a monitor riser and the connections in the rear. Not great! I saw this product reviewed by Lon Seidman on YouTube and instantly knew I had to get it. Now, switching between the computers is much simpler. Just tap the switch button on my desk and switch the monitors input, and everything now works on the second computer. I'm even able to have my microphone carry over as well, which I never switched over previously! Additionally, if I ever want to use a different machine, such as my Surface or another Laptop, connected to my desk monitor, I can easily connect it to this switcher and use all of my desk peripherals in a snap. It's really great! The only negative I would say about this product is that in my setup the main box sits behind my desk against the wall, not in visual sight, so you can't see which computer is active before use or while you're switching. It's honestly not really a problem at all because you can quickly cycle through and find out if you're set to the device you're trying to use, but if I had to include a knock, that's the only one I've got!

This base model of the Mac mini performs remarkably well -- even using Parallels with Windows 10. It is exceptionally well built with a weight deceptively heavier than its small size. It exudes quality. Very pleased with the purchase and would consider another Mac mini to complement two i-macs.

I use this product to share one monitor/keyboard/mouse between my Windows 7 machine and my Mac Mini. I have no issues at all. Very easy to set up. Great product.

I needed to replace a Windows based PC that was ready to retire. This Mac mini with M2 chip was the key. It boots up quickly and makes almost no noise unlike my old PC. Set up was quick and painless. It is a small compact package which is something I was looking at for a replacement. I needed it for basic day to day functions and won't be doing any type of design work. Again, it was a great purchase and B&H shipped it FAST!

This is plug-and-play: it worked right out of the box on my Mac, and also on a Windows-based laptop I use for another job, connecting to my Sony FX6. I had to figure out, through trial and error, that the frame rate I send out of the camera must be 29.97 in order for the computer to understand the signal. But once I had that sorted, I wound up with an image far superior to my webcam.

i have tested this with both a Mac and Windows laptop, and am currently using it with a new 2024 Mac (which only has 2x USB-C ports on the rear). Perfect for plugging in USB memory sticks, an old USB printer, and an external USB HDD for Time Machine backup. Positives - very fast (10Gbps), small and compact, great for travel, no drivers needed, Works with multiple O/S. Negative - Well the only thing i can think of is when its on my desk under the Mac, (with the cable going away from you) the Startech logo is upside down! Very minor point, but this is the only negative i can come up with. Highly recommended product, im very pleased with it.

We wanted a back-up drive for both a Windows machine and a Mac laptop. This was recommended by B&H so I bought it. It delivers as promised, after reformatting it to a FAT format. Works off 1 USB port on both computers, so it is very portable and convenient. Cannot attest to the durability or reliability as we have only had it about a month. If it continues to be this flawless, I will get another one.

This is my first time owning a Mac PC. I can say that I'm pleased with my laptop and may not return to a Windows PC. The laptop runs very smooth, no lags, and does not overheat which was one of my concern. Also, the battery life is great, overall I'm happy with my purchase.
