Mac Se Superdrive Ethernet Adapter

I got this to run an Apple 'superdrive' with a Mac Air M1. The drive consumes more power than can be transmitted by a combo adapter (like the Moshi Symbus Mini 7-in-1 portable USB-C hub I have). This Belkin adapter does the job. 5 |

Works fine with Windows and Mac. This adapter can basically max out a gigabit Ethernet connection. I have it connected to a USB port on the back of my monitor so that a single cable gets me not only power and video, but also a better internet connection. 5 |

Not much to say, it's a USB to Ethernet adapter. Works exactly like you would want it to. 5 |

I bought a New USB Superdrive to use with a 2017 IMAC (also bought from B&H) and Im completely satisfied with both. The superdrive is working flawlessly and it looks as if it was designed to sit artfully on top of the flanged aluminum base of my MAC.. Come to think, it probably was. I had never used an external CD drive before now, because I've never had to.Thats a separate issue. Also I can understand why some aren't happy with the lack of an actual eject button on the device. If I was using anything but a MAC with an Apple magic keyboard (which has an eject button on it) this might become an annoyance. The fact is if I was using anything but an newer MAC I wouldn't need the drive. Used as intended with a MAC or MACBOOK these drives are great and I not hesitate to buy another one If I buy a MACBOOK later this year. 5 |

With only one port you must have this cable to transfer from older Mac's, run a superdrive and download photos from a non Wifi camera and access your portable hard drive backup. You just have to have this, should be provided by Apple. 5 |

This USB SuperDrive by Apple burns fast and plays well. Being USB, it's extremely portable. Before you purchase, make sure you're computer is compatible. Compatible with the following computers: MacBook Pro with Retina display MacBook Air iMac (late 2012) and later Mac mini (late 2009) and later Mac Pro (late 2013) This could save you some heartache if you have an older Mac Pro with a bum DVD burner. 5 |

I have mixed feelings about the fact that Apple stopped putting the SuperDrive inside the Mac. I like the SuperDrive, and it is nice that my Desktop isn't loaded up with extra weight. Still, the price of my Mac didn't go down when they made the SuperDrive external and an extra cost. I love the small size and ease of use. It's a great driver. 5 |

The Superdrive is an effective, durable multipurpose drive that works well on all Mac's. The only issue I found is that it requires a USB adaptor for newer MacBooks with the USB-C connections. The adaptor is cheap enough but don't forget it! The drive requires power so it may not work on a USB hub in an unpowered socket. I recommend planning to use the drive in a direct connection to the Mac to ensure power. 5 |

I'm delighted with the Apple USB SuperDrive. My newer Mac doesn't have a DVD slot, but the SuperDrive makes it really easy to add. Once added, the drive restores the ability to read or write DVDs again. 5 |

I purchased this optical drive to use with a new iMac 5K 27-inch Retina (2017) machine. While there were less expensive third party USB optical drives available for the Mac, I elected to purchase the Apple product to eliminate any possible compatibility issues. The Apple SuperDrive works very quietly with no surprises. There is no clunky tray to load. Simply partially insert a CD or DVD into the slot on the SuperDrive and the drive pulls it the rest of the way into the unit. When you eject the device from the Mac desktop, the SuperDrive gently pushes the CD or DVD out so it can then be easily removed. A dust seal keeps dust from entering the media insertion slot of the drive. Please note that the attached USB cable on the SuperDrive is short: only about a foot long. This is not an issue when using it with the iMac, but your situation may be different. 5 |
