Mac Studio M2 Max

I upgraded from a Mac Studio M2 Max and this little powerhouse is more powerful and mobile. I suggest you get a sleeve it fingerprints easily. Running Photoshop and Davinci with no issues. Stays very cool and quiet and I can charge it with my Anker powerbank so no need to take power supply on day trip. Best Mac i have owned in years

Works perfect with Acasis thunderbolt encasing for my Mac Studio Max M2! I've had it for a month so far with no isssues.

In my previous review of my new Apple Mac Studio M2 Max I mentioned I purchased it to replace my old Mac mini. What I didn't know is that my great Apple 27 LED Cinema Display wasn't compatible with the new Mac Studio video output. One call to B&H put me in contact with a service consultant who immediately suggested getting the j5create USB Type-C to 4K Mini DisplayPort Adapter. On arrival it took just a minute to add that to my set up and upon reboot, fast and beautiful display. Happy Days are here again.

I'm using the Xcellon Pro Hub providing a second screen /display with a 2022 Mac Book Air with the M2 Chip. Everything works as they should, by connecting the Mac, wireless mouse and keyboard. Output Image looks beautiful on my 4K TV in my studio. This is also great when adding a second screen so my clients can select the images they want to purchase after a photography session while my MacBook is facing on the other side. The Xcellon Pro Hub plays 4K 60 seamless and they unit itself doesn't get hot, just barely warm in what I'm using it for. Plays 4K 60 with no problem. I have attached images along with this review if you want to see. The only thing I didn't test as a "torture" test was trying to transfer 4K files from a card or drive plugged in while watching a 4K video playback at the same time, but this is something that I will not need or see doing with this adapter. Transferring files is also a breeze and it is fast. The primary thing I'm going to use this adapter for is to serve as a secondary external display. And it does it flawlessly. Keep in min that, if you have an older Mac laptop with older M1 chips, the output will be limited to 4K 30 because of the M1 chip limitations. If your Mac has a M1Pro or M1Max or M2 will allow 4K 60, just like mine did. Very happy with this device. It will be extremely useful in my studio. A superb Thunderbolt cable from Apple. I use it to connect an Apple Studio Monitor with a Mac Mini M2 Pro. Flawless performance.

This M2 Pro Mini (16GB / 1 TB) replaced a "family use" 2015 Intel iMac that was maddeningly slow - no matter what I did to improve it. I also have a Mac M1 Max Studio with 32GB etc etc. And this little Mini feels as fast; apps, photos, videos, (most) websites and documents seem to open as quickly. It's a bit slower on a number of Photoshop and Davinci routines, but at less than 1/2 the price of the Studio, it's entitled. As always, best performance is produced with native Mac OS versions of apps. (Avoid Rosetta.) And it's barely warm after heavy use. This is the best Apple and Mac value since I bought the first ones for our businesses in 1984!

I purchased this M2 model as an emergency backup should something happen to my Mac Studio Ultra. I set it up in no time and it works correctly. It backs up to my NAS and is part of my home network.

Works just fine with my Mac Studio Max M1 computer, does not require any drivers or software, I don't know about PCs but on the Mac it's excellent and the price is excellent also.

I purchased these adapters (2) for use with my brand new Mac Studio Max. The adapter plug housings are very close to the same color as the Mac Studio and the cables are the ideal length for my needs. They appear well constructed and should last longer than the computer itself. Time will tell how they really hold up, but for now, they are well worth it for my needs.

I bought this to allow me to connect my Acasis 10-in-1 hub to the Thunderbolt port on the back of My Mac Studio Max. This is providing me with 33% higher read and write speeds from the SN750 2 TB NVMe drive in the hub compared to using the USB-C connection on the Mac Studio Max. Using Thunderbolt and the Acasis hub I now gert 931 MB/s Read and 1005 MB/s Write testing with AmorphousDiskMark 4.0. I am satisfied with this performance given the inexpensive cost of the hub and the NVMe slot it provides. This cable came through and provides sufficient length to let me move my hub around on my workstation.
