If you have USB 2 drives on your older computer then stay with PNY 64 GB Flash Drives. They work and are FAT 32 formated. No Problems with these Flash Drives. I tried 128 GB Flash Drives that were suppose to work on USB 2 thru USB 3. My first file copied to them and the memory crashed and burned. I ordered the PNY 64 GB USB 2 and they are excellent. Smaller GB but always work. 5 |

Not everything can be in the cloud. Thumb drives are hard to use with a Mac because if the Mac i/o. This drive allows you to work with USB and USB-C ports. 5 |

These USB flash drives are very convenient for keeping my files backed up and available wherever I go. 5 |

I have two external backup drives (Seagate 8TB with USB hub). Each is connected to my Mac with one of these. Works great 5 |

My mid-2010 Mac Pro is aging. That, and my ext. backup drives, only have FW800 and USB2. So, I bought this PCIe card and two USB-C external drives to backup all my stuff and futureproof me. Installing this card was an absolute breeze. (There's a great YouTube how-to.) Then, I backed up to one of my new USB-C drives and it was smooth and seamless. I'm very happy! Something I learned though, that is NOT the fault of the card, is that my Mac's ROM only recognizes a USB-C PCIe card after boot up, so you can't boot, say, a clone of your internal drive with it. That may be important to know for some people. Also, I thought I might see much faster transfer speeds, but the speeds were just a little faster than FW800. Could be because my new USB-C drives are only 540rpm, I'm not sure. So maybe don't expect dazzling speed improvements. I highly recommend this card. 5 |

I purchased to expand connections to Mac Mini M1, to connect a couple external drives (one was Thunderbolt 1), and to have another USB-A available, since the two jacks on the Mini were used for the Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad. It's been running nearly constantly since early 2021 (this Mac Mini remains powered up all the time). While it's true that if you bump up against the Thunderbolt input cable, it can disconnect, I have not had that issue happen much at all since connecting it. However I have it in a fixed position on desktop (so it's rare to be sufficiently bumped). I've not run this with an 'speed' tests, since I only have disk drives connected. If I were to subtract a half star, it would be that I wished it had another USB-A port. But I knew the port specs before purchase. 5 |

I bought this 12TB to consolidate 3 4TB G-Drives. I use with my Mac Pro, which is USB 3.0 and the included adapter cable works great, I also use with the USB-C cable occasionally with my MacBook Pro. Basically, for the price, the warranty for hardware and data recovery, it's a winner. Some people complained of noise, the drive vibrates occasionally, but you just need to nudge it slightly, not a big deal. The only feature I wish had was a RAID option, but I back it up to cloud, so I can live without it. I highly recommend it! 5 |

I had an older Xcellon that required current plus USB, so this one is smaller and neater and works just fine. The last time around, though, I learned that you can't use small, neat ones for hard drives, so I don't. I have an iMac and two external hard drives that I keep plugged into the iMac. Then I plug this Xcellon into the Mac and use it for my scanner, printer, and iPod, etc. It sits out-of-the way on the "foot" of the Mac. 5 |
