Macbook Air Play To Bluetooth Speakers

After buying and using this play 5, I decided to ditch my Bluetooth speakers and I bought two play 3 for other rooms....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will admit I was initially intimidated by the mere idea of hooking this turntable up, but the promise of being able to connect wirelessly to our bluetooth speakers and headphones motivated me. It was packed very securely, however a few of the parts/accessories were tucked away in the styrofoam packaging and there were a few minutes of panic until I found them. Assembling the turntable and connecting it (wired) to our amp was easy peasy, as was pairing the bluetooth with our speakers. I really like the minimalist design of the turntable, it is very modern looking and unobtrusive. The buttons and knobs are are easy to find and to use. Using the turntable to play a record is simple and straightforward and the sound is refreshingly clean. As soon as the kiddos knew we had it (and what it could do) they came over with their laptops that have recording software on them, and literally stacks of albums and spent the day using the turntable to record the albums onto their computers. I will be honest - I would not have known how to do that without them showing me first. What I really like the best is that I can play albums and listen to them through bluetooth on my wireless headphones, in another room! I love it and would recommend this highly to someone looking for a good turntable that has bluetooth capabilities.

Also more than expected. I bought this to drive outdoor speakers and figured I'd spend a few more dollars to get Bluetooth. Well B&H must be showing a slightly older model because what I received also has an SD card slot in addition to the USB port and it will play mp3 files! It also has an FM tuner built in. I expected to feed this amp from my main stereo just to drive the outdoor speakers but since the Pyle also has line level output jacks I can also feed my stereo from the Pyle. I was a little afraid of a feedback loop while fiddling with switches but it has not happened. So now I can play mp3's or a Bluetooth source through the whole house inside & out. Perfect! The Pyle also seems to have tons of power. I easily drive a pair of Polk outdoor speakers with the Pyle volume just above zero. If there is any high volume distortion I'll never hear it unless I blow out the speakers. I could very easily drive a second pair of speakers with the Pyle. Great device, very compact, not much heat, good controls. Nothing to dislike. Hope it has a long life.

This speaker is exactly what I was looking for to play music around the house. It connects fairly quickly to Bluetooth via the app, and the bass bumps. Perfect for dance parties with my kids or relaxing to classical music at dinner time. I also ordered one of the little posts me speakers to sync up and play music in the kitchen so I’m looking forward to having a “surround sound” effect. I had been looking at a 2-3k dollar set up with a receiver and separate L/R speakers but am so glad I went with this because it meets my needs without being too technical for a novice.

I have a couple of small Bose speakers that I use as Bluetooth to my computer to play music on the go. These lens cases were the exact fit for excellent protection of these speakers. Purchased two, one for each speaker.

I was always a Bose speaker fan and purchased a Bose bluetooth speaker for my daughter. She loves it and I was about to purchase the larger unit for myself. BUT....THEN ...I was in a local stereo store checking out the Bose units here, in Victoria BC. As I was walking out the door, the Sonos speakers were then in range and they drew me back into the store. OMG what amazing sound they produced. I am now the very happy owner of the play 5 and just added a play 1 to fill in more music sound into my kitchen. So easy to set up and it is very cool when the speakers adjust to the room. Wild man.. Kudos to the engineers that created the wifi connectivity. Sooooooo much better than bluetooth .

I have a single Play:5 and have been very impressed with all aspects. I've tried a few other Bluetooth speakers and this blows them out of the water. Its certainly an larger investment but well worth it. I'm looking forward to adding a few more throughout the house whenever I can. I can't imagine the performance gained by adding another Play:5 and/or Sub.

Downloaded the software/driver from the TrendNet website. Plugged and play after on a Macbook Air. I was getting 89 Mbps Download, 94 Mbps Upload on my Verizon Fios 75 Mbps Connection. Wifi is in the 50-60 Mbps range.

Been using it for a couple weeks now I think. I used it with a MacBook Air M1 2020. Plug and play. Go to display settings and can change to portrait layout works super good for my job! The origami case made me nervous at first, but if you are careful it works pretty well.

I have numerous Bluetooth speakers but this one is by far the best!
