This is a professional grade stand. No fooling around. Heavy, sturdy, all that. But if you want a light stand that stays where you put it and can hold what you want it to hold, this is your stand. 5 |

I can't add much to all of the great reviews that convinced me to buy several of these stands. No regrets. I have other Matthews and a Manfrotto nano stands. These Alu Masters are not something I would try to fit into airline luggage- they are 43 long folded-up. But that's fine for local and studio gigs. They are light, sturdy, nice quality materials and construction, and fold flat. Holds up strobes, monolights, C300D with light-dome II attached - no worries. The other reviews complaining about the plastic latch that holds the stands together - nonsense... If you throw them around like a gorilla, OK it might break. But I've had no issues and i like that added nice feature. I will be buying more of these - my favorite stand so far. 5 |
