The LaCie 1big Dock is a super device. It provides expansion capability for my MacBook Air which is needed due to only having 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports on the Air. I especially like the Display Port 1.4 output on the 1big Dock. And the addition of the USB port on the front is a big plus. I can connect my USB 3.x devices to the MacBook Air with ease. I don't need enormous storage so the 4tb 1big Dock was enough storage for my needs. I was able to re-format the drive into 2 partitions. One for Time Machine and another for data storage. Very easy to reconfigure the drive in the 1big Dock. I am very happy with the LaCie products I use. I also have a LaCie Rugged USB drive I use to transfer files. I will continue to use LaCie products on my Mac devices. Very happy with the design and functionality of the LaCie products. 5 |

This is really working well with my new MacBook Pro. It's a lot of storage for its size and seems pretty compact and sturdy. The USB 3.0 it is much faster when backing up my files from the hard drive to online back up. Not that this matters much to me, but it looks great with the MacBook Pro as well. 5 |

Had this for a week now and got it for my 2018 MacBook Pro. First of all, love the fact that this product is not a typical dongle with a cable and instead plugs right in securely to my macbook. The secure fit ensures that slightly moving my macbook won't accidentally unplug any of my devices. I have zero issues connecting any of the following devices: HDMI, Mouse, Keyboard, or USB-C. Also, I have connected the MacBook power cord to the adapter's USB-C port and it also works perfectly. Of course you cannot use a case while this device is connected, but the tradeoff is well worth it especially if you are rarely moving your macbook around like me. The color doesn't match my MacBook, but I could've opted for the silver (so that's my fault, not anything to do with the product.) If I had the silver, it would look like it is part of the laptop. With access to all my immediate ports, securely plugged in, and including portability, this is a 10/10 product. (I received this product in exchange for my honest review.) 5 |
