Macbook Ethernet Cable Adapter

I needed to attach an Ethernet cable to a MacBook (of course no ports on the MacBook) so I got this with an adapter so I could use the cable and then the adapter with USB to plug into the laptop. Once the correct driver was installed for the MacBook / adapter all worked great. Instructions for all could be better. Thanks to B&H for super advice and support!

I'm using this with my older Macbook pro that does not have USB-C or ethernet ports. I just plugged this adapter in my USB-A port and it worked right away. The computer saw it and connected to my network without any issues. This will come in super handy when I need the fastest signal possible. Or if the wireless connection is spotty. I did a speed test with this adapter connected and I was getting over 500 mbps upload and download speeds on my work network connection, which is as fast as I can expect to get. I'm happy with this adapter and it would be hard to beat at this price. This is a very affordable solution if your computer does not have its own ethernet port. I have this for my MacBook Pro 13. I have an external monitor, card reader, three external drives and for a while an ethernet cable to my router connected to it and everything works flawlessly.

Now that I am working from home, I want to be able to plug an ethernet cable directly into my MacBook Pro. And a USB microphone. And the power cable. But my MacBook has only two USB-C ports. The EZQuest hub also means I don't need adapters for the ethernet cable or the cord from my external microphone. I did a lot of research before choosing the EZQuest. It has all the features I want, including the most up to date USB 3.1 ports and USB power delivery 3.0 for the fastest charging. The quality is excellent and it's more compact than I expected expected. Even the color goes well with my MacBook!

Not much to say, it's a USB to Ethernet adapter. Works exactly like you would want it to.

I purchased this to increase the WiFi coverage in my house. I was considering purchasing 2, but started with 1 just to see the coverage. Overall, I get about 25% better signal at each end of the house with this set up in the center so an improvement over the WiFi router my ISP provides. I have basic networking experience and the software was a breeze to setup. I really think anyone could do it, but give yourself a good 15 mins to click around and understand their web interface. I simply plugged an ethernet cable into my existing WiFi router, then into the PoE adapter that came with the AP. Then just ran a second ethernet cable from the PoE adapter to the AP. Mounted it on a wall with their hardware and was done, took less than 5 min total.

I'm using this with my Macbook Air that only has USB-C ports and no ethernet port. This adapter worked right out of the box to give me an ethernet connection. Just plugged the ethernet cable in to the adapter, connected the adapter to the CPU's USB-C port, and my computer connected to my work network flawlessly. The wifi at my work is not great, so this adapter is giving me a fast network connection now through ethernet. I did a speed test and I'm getting approximately 500mbps upload/download speeds with this adapter, which is fantastic. I also appreciate that the adapter has LED indicators. One light shows there is a connection (green). The middle light shows there is power (White/blue). And the 3rd light blinks orange to show there is activity. Having these lights could come in handy if I need to trouble shoot, which is very helpful. The build quality is also really good. This feels like it will last a long time. The cable seems sturdy and the ethernet cable plugs in securely into the adapter's port. Overall, I'm happy with this adapter and it is working very well.
