I purchased these to make video work on my MacBook Pro more comfortable than when using earbuds, as well as to enjoy my iTunes library. The MDR-7506 headphones are a total success in all regards. Very comfortable, even with the original vinyl earpads (I haven't installed the sheepskins yet). Bass is quite adequate for my needs. And as others have noted, definition of midrange and highs is excellent. The carrying case in this kit also is high quality, and seems stiff enough to protect the headphones against serious knocks should I take them anywhere. I'm now enjoying re-listening to my music collection, since these Sonys are revealing subtleties in the music I wasn't hearing with my good-quality earbuds. There are indeed plenty of excellent reasons so many professionals have made these their go-to headphones. 5 |
