Macbook Pro 16Gb Ram 1Tb Ssd

I replaced my MacBook Pro 15 Mid-2015/512GB SSD/16GB RAM/AMD M370X 2GB Graphics with this one. At the beginning, I was afraid I would miss all the specs of the old one, but I've been loving it ever since. Even with 8 apps opened at the same time and a bunch of tasks to do, it has proven fast enough, extremely worthy of its price and the battery is great for daily average to intense use. I would recommend it for most of the people, specially college students.

100% happy with this. Incredibly fast with the 16gb of RAM and 1TB SSD, and, of course, the M1. The only drawback (other than high price) with many Apple products is there is zero upgradability, so it doesn't pay to cheap at the time of purchase. 16GB RAM and the 512GB SSD are the minimum I'd recommend as you can't add RAM or internal storage later.

My laptop is running 16GB of RAM, an i7 processor and a 1TB hard drive. �(Due to the size, it was slow - 5400 rpm.) �I wanted an SSD when I bought the laptop 4 years ago, but prices of SSD were sky high if you could find them. �This is a much more reasonable price. �If you are maxed out on RAM, this is the next upgrade to look add - the loading and saving process is so much faster and reliability substantially higher as there are no moving parts. �It breathes new life into Windows based units!

I upgraded to this model from a 2011 model with only 16gb of RAM. With this unit I doubled the RAM, and upgraded to the 1TB SSD. It's exactly what I needed to be able to process a large number of photos in Photoshop. This model is considerably quieter than my previous, and not quite as hot. I did have to purchase an adapter to connect it to my Thunderbolt display, but that has worked perfectly as well. I have nothing negative to say, it's perfect!

Heard all the buzz about this new M1 Chip from Apple, so since I do quite a bit of 4k Video editing for my clients, thought I would compare a M1 16gb/1TB version to my 2017 Macbook Pro i7 with 16gb/1TB. The difference is night and day, this M1 chip runs circles around the older Macbook Pro. I don't have any benchmark numbers to throw at you in backing up my claim, you can find those on the internet. One thing I noticed right away is the fan hasn't come on yet and stays cool - under the same tasks as I did before, the older one would get hot rather quickly processing 4k video and turn the fan on. The battery life is a game changer, I am able to go all day editing photos/videos for clients and upload on my hotspot while enroute to the next job without plugging in. With my older 15 Inch Macbook pro, I would need to plug it in every 2-3 hours. I can say as a business owner who deals with photos/videos on the daily, this new M1 chip is more than capable of the task and at a better price point than the $2400+ 16 inch models or previous generation Macbooks.

I upgraded to this 2022 Macbook Air with 16gb Ram & 500gb Storage from my 2016 Macbook Pro with 16gb Ram & 500gb Storage. So far it is great! I will say that occasionally it is a tad slower on some tasks compared to my old pro, but in most cases it is better and faster as it is a big upgrade and can keep up with newer technology that I use for work much better. The color Midnight is pretty, but I do recommend at least a clear case because it attract fingerprints very easily. It is also so much lighter than my pro which is a huge plus for traveling since I work remote!

I just finished using the OWC SSD Aura Pro 1TB upgrade as well as using the OWC 64gb RAM, and am looking forward to continuing to monitor the performance compared to the original 12gb RAM and 256GB SSD. Replacing the SSD was surprisingly simple - I used Carbon Copy Cloner - just the free trial - and copied my original SSD over onto the new internal from OWC using the included SSD enclosure (available as a kit from OWC or here on B&H). I bought the trashcan on sale three years ago (from B&H on Black Friday) I think and it was so much cheaper to buy the base configuration and make my own mods rather than paying out the nose for Apple's upgrades. Plus I could spread out the purchases and have the extra, original SSD in the new enclosure. Win win.

This DS621 is my first NAS. Install and setup have been a breeze. SSD drives, 16GB ram, and 10GbE keep performance snappy for running file server, cloud sync, and backups for three user home office. DSM software is excellent. Highly recommend

This adapter works perfectly for my new MacBook Air with M1 chip and 16Gb RAM! I am Zooming all the time and screen sharing, so I use the Ethernet port and HDMI for my second screen!
