They say it would work on a late 2011 MacBook Pro. It does.

As soon as I got this, my 2011 macbook pro is more useful than before. Helped me do my editing more convenient

My macbook pro 13” (early 2011) has never been faster.

Every time I bring my MacBook to work, I always have to bring the original little white Apple adapter, plug it in back and forth to home-work, work-home... Well, those days are over. Now, I can leave the Xcellon 100W USB-C Universal AC Adapter permanently on my desk at work while the original Apple charger is stored in the laptop's case to take it anywhere else. The original Apple charger is only 30 watts, which I also used it for other USB-C PD devices, but the Xcellon for being 100 watts, is much better. It will deliver intelligently up to 100 watts to whatever device that needs that much current, like a bigger laptop or an V-Mount battery and will also safely charge my MacBook to only supplying the appropriate current it needs. Nothing more. That's what PD means: "Power Delivery". Very happy with it, it does what it's supposed to and now I have two ways to charge my laptop. Also, it features a built-In Circuit Protection Circuitry, and if you live in a country that is 220 volts, the charger automatically switches to the appropriate wattage (110/220), no problem. I bought this for my wife who used a MacBook Pro for years; 2011 17’ which still works, but is too big sometimes. Since I purchased this iPad, she literally hasn’t touched the MacBook Pro…at all! This iPad is that good; I also bought the case with the keyboard attached which is a game changer. Awesome product which seems to do anything that a laptop can do, at least in my wife’s opinion…

I needed to upgrade my MacBook Pro early 2011 with a solid state drive. With this product, the transfer of data was done smoothly without any issues. The connection is kind of sturdy so there is not the risk of losing connection while transferring data. It is a good product.

I used it to upgrade my MacBook Pro early 2011. My computer feels now like a new computer. I think I have a computer for 4 years more. The performance so fast is incredible. I use my computer for scientific purposes with lots of calculations and reading and writing. I think this was the best option to go.

The disc is cool and quality . I bought for replacing HDD in MacBook Pro 2011. After replacing the laptop flies.

Doing what it says it does. Easy setup. It's working great with my 2011 MacBook Pro. Great with Final Cut Pro and after effects. I can't attest to reliability yet because I've only had it a month. No signs of problems though. I definitely suggest loading soft raid on your computer because the transfer speeds increase considerably when you do. Great product. OWC will have more business from me in the future.
