I owned a 2021 M1 Pro Max MacBook Pro with 64 GB of RAM and decided to get the latest high end MacBook Pro with an M3 CPU. So far I am happy with my choice of color and memory (black and 48 GB). I haven’t had it for long but all the apps I need are fast and I will skip the M4 and get the M5 just like I skipped the M2. I recommend this to any serious developer and content creator. 5 |

Support for up to 64 GB Ram (Which I actually upgraded to), fast memory and high performance processors make these powerful desktop computers with very small footprints. Combine these features with Mac OS and they are a compelling buy. Only negative is bluetooth can be lost more easily than previous versions. 5 |

Upgraded my 27 iMac (not Pro) from 8 to 64 GB using 4 16 GB sticks. Decided to go with the same SO-DIMMs in all 4 slots to balance the load which will maximize throughput. Apple RAM is no better and 3 times as expensive. Upgrading was easy and took about 5 minutes saving me $700. Anyone can and should do it. 5 |

Use with SanDisk 64 GB Extreme Pro CF type B as well as SanDisk 32GB Extreme PRO UHS-II SDXC Memory Card. Both cards supported; moving files from the cards to my Dell XPS 15 was lightning fast. Haven't had a card in for any length of time to see how hot the reader gets (a comment that other reviewers have made) 5 |
