I just bought a new MacBook pro from B&H Photo. My old Macbook was 12 years old and still functioning well, I just couldn't update it any more. Couldn't download functioning forms of java script, google, you tube etc... I will keep it as a storage unit. The new Macbook is somewhat similar. It is the same keyboard, except now it is backlight, but it came installed with Yosemite. I spend more of my time building and making things than I spend on the computer, so I am not the most computer savvy person on earth, and this new Macbook will take a bit of learning. Over all, I believe it won't take too long to get up to speed. I purchased the apple care protection plan, and between that, and the great service help I get from the people at B&H, my learning curve should be even shorter. 5 |

I finally broke down and purchased a MacBook Pro for personal use. This one was a GREAT deal, and is replacing a 5 year old MacBook Pro that was a work laptop. All the features are there, and I had a 15 but love this 13 size. The camera and speaker are the best for my daughter's zoom music classes, and performance rehearsals. Best purchase I've made in a long time. As a Mac family that has 4 Apple computers and laptops, 3 iPads and iPhones, it's a great addition. 5 |
