Macbook Pro Keyboard No Working Computer Slow

My working computer is a MacBook Pro 13 2017 4-port. I am learning video editing and needed more screen real estate.  After researching prices for quality 4k monitor prices for my laptop, this iMac was only a few hundred $ more, and you have a new computer to boot.  This machine is blazingly fast compared to my MacBook, and verified when checked with geekbench's free version, which is to be expected with a newer machine, and the screen is beautiful.  My only complaint is with Apple not making the wireless keyboard with the same size keys and spacing as a MacBook. Going back and fourth between machines, as I do in my daily workflow, I find my fingers overshoot on the smaller wireless keyboard. The new Trackpad has some of the same feel issues as well. Using this with a Canon R6 connected to either a Macbook Pro or a Dell computer. No issues with fast data transfer or dropped connection.

I really like the Apple Magic Keyboard for my use and purposes. The weight of the keyboard is more substantial than I had been led to believe, which is nice. It instantly connects to my Macbook Pro vie bluetooth, and the internal battery lasts quite a long while (after two weeks it still had over 50% of power left). I'm used to only using the keyboard on my Macbook Pro, so the Magic Keyboard is a very familiar piece of hardware for me.

Use this with a MacBook Pro for backing up my computer. Always installed, always backing up when the computer is on.

I just bought a new MacBook pro from B&H Photo. My old Macbook was 12 years old and still functioning well, I just couldn't update it any more. Couldn't download functioning forms of java script, google, you tube etc... I will keep it as a storage unit. The new Macbook is somewhat similar. It is the same keyboard, except now it is backlight, but it came installed with Yosemite. I spend more of my time building and making things than I spend on the computer, so I am not the most computer savvy person on earth, and this new Macbook will take a bit of learning. Over all, I believe it won't take too long to get up to speed. I purchased the apple care protection plan, and between that, and the great service help I get from the people at B&H, my learning curve should be even shorter.
