For my new MacBook Pro M1, I first tried purchasing Caldigit's new Element Thunderbolt 4 hub. It was nothing but an endless kernel panic with the M1 chip. Caldigit implied that was Apple's fault for their implementation of Thunderbolt 4 ports, but I didn't let them make me stick around long enough to sort out who's fault it was. I returned it, and bought this OWC one and it's been SO much better! No panics yet, sleep works fine, everything returns from sleep (whereas Caldigit's would consider my Pegasus2 RAID an erroneous disconnection everytime it slept), and it's actually really nice having SPDIF (digital) audio out, ethernet, and the card readers. I wish this had one more thunderbolt port out, but then again, I could still daisy chain a couple of my thunderbolt devices no problem. So far so great for this OWC 14-port T3 dock. 5 |

So I am able to connect the MacBook Pro to: - a wire Ethernet cable (via the RJ45 port) - a second monitor (via the HDMI port), in addition to existing HDMI port embedded to the MacBook Pro. So in total two monitors can be connected simultaneously in extending mode to the MacBook Pro! I highly recommend it 5 |

This fits 16 M1 MacBook Pro perfectly. All the ports work perfectly with one port having Thunderbolt 4 full speed and the display shuts perfectly even when installed. Just what the doctor ordered. 5 |

Bought this for my Macbook Pro M1 16-inch (2021 model) for when I travel. Powers the Macbook fully, but also charges up my phone with the extra USB-C PD port (up to 20w) and also has a USB-A (2.4A) port for any other accessories that don't need high-speed PD charging (wireless earbuds, smart watch, etc.) Works great! 5 |
