Macbook Pro Not Charging After Big Sur Update

Works fine with my2019 MacBook Pro using Catalina and Big Sur. Works great with my LaCie DVD drive, the reason I got this. Works great with everything I throw at it. Love having Ethernet and HDMI. Great for the price.

I'm using it on an iMac Pro (Big Sur, CC2022) in Premier, AfterEffects and the finder so far. For color correction and the integration with Lumetri this thing is a dream! I never knew how much I needed to keep my hand on dials while moving thru the color settings. My color chops have already improved. Indispensable and I am only scratching the surface.

I really like the new V850 Pro. Solid and clean build, based on a proven design from their lineup. I had sold my V750 a while back because I couldn't get updated software to keep up with my 27 Retina 5K iMac and evolving OS versions. Good news now - you CAN get software that is current for Big Sur. All you need is the V850 and then download the driver and utilities for OSx Big Sur at this link https://epson.com/Support/Scanners/Perfection-Series/Epson-Perfection-V850-Pro/s/SPT_B11B224201?review-filter=macOS+11.x and install it. You have to search a little bit to get the hint that shows it is for version 11.XXX. The regular main site support drop down doesn't show it. Also - Silverfast has updated their software to support Big Sur. It's a little odd and unfamiliar for Mac users, and I had to install the downloaded driver from them first, then after I registered I received a notice with a special link to get a different key code and reload it. A little uncomfortable, but it works. The V850 includes two sets of film holders - that's a good thing; you can load a set of film while it's scanning another at the same time. This will be very helpful for me as I work through a large print/film archive project with about 3,000 images. It would have been nice to have a wireless version, or updated USB version; it comes with basic old USB 2.0. Thumbs up on this - thank you Epson for remembering us Mac users.

I was more than please that this worked great right at unboxing. Photoshop did a great job. Big Sur doesn't allow the Pro Studio software to work yet but I expect it will soon. I'm really pleased. I have 2 PRO 100's as well and I also like them.

Easy to set-up on my MacBook. After the initial software update, this back-up drive was a dream to use. Of course, the first back-up took some time, but was extremely fast on subsequent back-ups. Nothing less than I'd expect from Western-Digital. I'm definitely going to purchase a second one for my wife's Mac.

My 27" IMac and my MacBook Pro are both to old to update anymore and were both getting pretty slow and needed replacing. I used them both for Lightroom and Photoshop and it was getting painful to use them. I ordered the Mac mini (M2) with 24 GB of Ram and 1 TB SSD and it's blowing through my photo editing and cutting my time at the computer by 80%. Love it. Worth every penny. Outstanding choice.

Plugged it in to my 2011 MacBook Pro and it ran exactly as it should, without needing to install, update, or reprogram anything. Would definitely recommend.

I needed to update my MacBook Pro from 2016. This one did not disappoint! All of the new features are great and I’m so happy with how well my Lightroom runs for photo editing.

I needed to update my 2015 Macbook Pro in order to run current versions of Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve. With modern M2 Macbooks running a minimum of $1,300, the $500 Mac Mini was a much more affordable alternative, especially since most of my editing is done at home these days. Highly recommend!
