My 27" IMac and my MacBook Pro are both to old to update anymore and were both getting pretty slow and needed replacing. I used them both for Lightroom and Photoshop and it was getting painful to use them. I ordered the Mac mini (M2) with 24 GB of Ram and 1 TB SSD and it's blowing through my photo editing and cutting my time at the computer by 80%. Love it. Worth every penny. Outstanding choice. 5 |

Daughter's 2010 MacBook Pro has been halfway around the world, but just started getting slow to load, slow to switch applications, and slow to boot up. A friend suggested putting in an SDD.Wow. Cloning the native HD to the SDD was no problem (used CCC, but that's not graven in stone). Once cloned, taking out the old one, switching the lug screws at the corners (OK, have your tor wrench--the $ set from B&H is cool) onto the SDD to hold it in place, and the open-out-in won't take a half-hour, and presto! Instant boot. Speed gain is immense. A little more RAM might not hurt...Samsung drives are as highly rated as anything out there, and this was such a snap, my daughter did everything but the cloning. Highly recommend. 5 |

I upgraded my 2017 MacBook Pro and it really seems it worth it. This new 2020 Macbook is very fast, has a much better battery and a totally new keyboard. As usual, Apple made a very good job! 5 |
