I use this cable with a Macbook Pro laptop and a Sony A7iv, which has a full size USB-C port. It works well, using the Imaging Edge software. I would get the 15' size (vs 10') - the extra 5' don't get in the way and give you some safety margin. I like the bright orange color that helps me to avoid tripping over it.

When you have a new MacBook Pro that only has USB-C ports and a monitor that is Display port native the adapter fills the bill. It is reliable and works well with a MBP.

This is a superb TB4 dock at a reasonable price. I needed it for WFH setup to drive 2 external displays for a Macbook Pro 16 (M1 Pro) and wanted the convenience of a single cable connector and a lot of expansion slots. I use 2 USB-C to Displayport cables to drive 2 Dell QHD displays. I'm very satisfied with the performance of this dock, but will upgrade to 4K at some point which this will also support. I still have a spare TB4 port on the dock to which I will connect a TB3 or 4 SSD in the future. The dock also charges the MBP 16 efficiently with its 96W and the included TB4 cable. The other USB ports come in handy for some older devices and low voltage charging. I haven't tried the SD slot or headphone ports so far. The ethernet port functions well - no issues. If there's one fault I had to point to, it's the lack of a power button. Would be nice to have when undocking, but this is a minor issue. Also wish the host port would have been located on the rear or a side. Overall, this is an excellent performing dock. It looks great and feels fairly robust. Lastly, the shipping to Canada was fast and included options to have taxes/duties paid up front - very convenient! I recommend this dock to any Macbook user looking to expand video and other connectivity via Thunderbolt.

Given the option to upgrade to the new MacBook Pro for 3K, I opted to replace my HDD with an SSD. Since my laptop has USB 1 ports, a Firewire port, and a Thunderbold 1 port...I was stuck copying my files over the USB port. My HDD was 512 Gigs and took about 6 hrs to copy. After that, the install was super easy and painless. My computer feels lightning fast now. I already maxed out my RAM at 16 gigs last year. To give you a sense of the speed increase, Photoshop CC used to take a couple of minutes to fully load up. After the switch to the SSD, it literally takes about 5 seconds. Incredible. I would have upgraded to the 2T SSD, but I'm hoping Apple will eventually release a more usable version of the MacBook Pro by then.

I've lost 2 of my 3 usb port on my mid 2010 MacBook Pro 17 this is a great replacement for the ports I've lost.

Bought this for my Macbook Pro M1 16-inch (2021 model) for when I travel. Powers the Macbook fully, but also charges up my phone with the extra USB-C PD port (up to 20w) and also has a USB-A (2.4A) port for any other accessories that don't need high-speed PD charging (wireless earbuds, smart watch, etc.) Works great!

This adapter fits into the C port which is what is now on MacBooks and the opposite end has a standard USB port. A must have item for your office, briefcase or leave in your car. Works great!
