I use this for photography and design work. It's an upgrade from my 2007 Macbook Pro which was connected to my Eizo monitor. The Mac Pro is a huge improvement. I took out the 3 GB of RAM and put in 24. Also added two 1 TB Barracudas. Will be upgrading to CS5.5, but even with CS3, Photoshop is really fast. And now Aperture actually works. It's very quiet. You just hear a kind of hum which I guess are the fans. I love all the ports that are available on this machine. The connectivity on the laptop left much to be desired. Will still have to get a laptop for traveling, but it's so much more convenient to have a desktop again for day-to-day work. 5 |

Using it with an M1 Macbook and it's a great experience so far. No connection issues, however the Mac needs to find it a a Bluetooth device - it won't spot it as a wireless mouse. And sometimes there are charging issues - the mouse won't charge despite being hooked overnight. But as it's great at working for weeks on a single charge this is a very minor inconvenience. Happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend it. 5 |
