Macintosh Computers That Used 8 Inch Floppy Disks

I purchased two of these. I am a Macintosh (iMac) user and felt it was just time to replace the 5 year old disks I had for my data and for Time Machine. Reformatting these new disks for Mac use was a breeze. It did take a quite a while to transfer files from the old disks to the new ones (about 6TB transfer each) but now I am in business. AND these disks are very quiet compared to the old ones. I am pleased.

Used it on two computers easily and have it on standby for more.

Used many times over 10 years of various professional Macintosh use at the clinic. A life saver for portable MB Pro assets.

No coasters due to the disks themselves. Had one disk out of about 100 fail, but it was the computers fault, not the disk's (the computer hiccup part way through). Given the high quality of the disks themselves, plus that they are hub printable, they are really not all that expensive.

I bought this because I am transitioning from spinning disks to 2 1/2 inch SSDs and when this arrived I was impressed by how well it was made, its ease of installation and the fact that for 4 SSDs I only needed 1 power cord thus reducing some of the clutter of cables inside my case by 3.   The fan has 3 settings, automatic, low and high and is attached to the rear of the unit and really quiet.   Good price for a great little unit.

I've been a fan of Photoflex LiteDiscs for years using the 42 inch White/Silver frequently when shooting studio portraits with strobes. Lately I've been shooting flowers by available light and found that the Litedisc provided a bit of fill quickly and easily. I've bought several disks so that I can choose the smallest size needed for the occasion. I also use the white side for a background at times. The disks are well made and collapse easily into durable, zippered storage bags.

This is the most significant innovation since the Macintosh itself was introduced.

Plotter works great! Used 36 inch before but this works even better.

8 x Splitter works as described. Great unit.

Used these as the boot disks for several raspberry pi 3 and 3+ with raspbian� stretch images.� The rpi's boot quickly and have been running without any issues.
