Happy with my Magic Keyboard

I am Loving my new iPad Pro so far. Of course it’s light years ahead of the 2004 Apple iBook G4 that it is replacing (I know, I know...). Obviously there is somewhat of a learning curve with the differences but in a house with two teenagers to help, that’s been O.K. So far. I also got the “Magic Keyboard” with this iPad which of course also acts as a case. I don’t know if I’m more taken with the iPad, the Magic Keyboard or how they function together? - It is a joy to see perfectly functioning engineering like this! - I was concerned that I might not like the keyboard or that it would be too far off from the one I was used to, but I needn’t have been and actually like this keyboard better than my old one! Key function and sensitivity and keyboard size are great! - The iPad magnetically connects effortlessly with the Magic Keyboard and can charge from there too and when you want it disconnected for other uses, you just grab it and pull it off the keyboard component! - Once I’d set them both up my two aforementioned teenagers were even visibly impressed and I wondered if I sensed a little envy in their look even though they’ve had much further advanced electronic devices than their Dad for a long time up until this point. - It is fantastic and really does make it seem like a “real” laptop computer - or even better! I have had many many Logitech keyboards and mice. A few months ago, I got new MX Ergo blue ball mouse and this keyboard. I love it of course. However, once desktop goes into sleep mode, and I wake it up...the keyboard does not wake, I have to unplug and replug it in to the USB hub. I believe it is because the in line resistors, needs more juice to start. Is it an over sized capacitor in there? Does anyone know? This keyboard is mechanical, with large high keys and sound. But I believe it is best for my messy desk. And looks fabulous next to the MXErgo mouse. What a pair! I made a custom shelf for both that can swing out easily. (Cedar wood with curves and sanded corners and edges).

I bought a laptop, recieved the security for free. Cant go wrong. If you want more than what is on your computer this will help with that.

The wired trackball did not wake up after the computer went to sleep and I had to unplug it from the USB hub. It was driving me insane. I searched and found many messages about the problem but no solutions that worked for me! I talked to the Kensington phone help service and they could not help. Finally I found out by trial and error that turning off (unchecking) the When the display is sleeping and When the screen is locked in System preferences: Notifications: Do Not Disturb solves the problem. I am running the MACOS 11.4 and the latest Kensington software.

The Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID is a game-changer. As someone who spends a lot of time typing, I can't describe the relief I felt when I got rid of my clunky old keyboard and switched to this sleek and elegant device. It has taken my typing experience to a whole new level, and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a premium keyboard.
