The phone stays secure when connected, yet releases with little effort when you're ready to take it off. The materials are solid, as is the build quality.

This is just what I needed to secure my MagSafe iphone 12 pro to the dash of our boat. I do have a MagSafe phone case. I find that the magnet is very strong to hold my phone tight when we are underway, and because of the adhesive, the magnet stays put on the dash when I grab my phone to check my messages.
