We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly. 5 |

I just replaced my 5400rpm 120GB dedicated windows HDD. USB adapter is not included for easier cloning so I just installed initially as a extra F: drive to clone and then I just switched cables to be detected as C: After additional Windows optimizations for a SSD drive, my 2003 pc 4GB Ram DualCore CPU it is working fast as expected. Before I have some annoying delays on some applications that are much better now. 5 |

Cloned a slow laptop hdd to a new ssd drive via usb port with mini tool partition wizard. It took so little time. I left it alone for 40 min and it was done when I got back. Perfect tool for this job! 5 |

I replaced an OEM HDD on a Windows 8 HP G7-2246nr laptop with this SSD using Macronium Reflect Free. Noticed improved speed right away. Old HDD was hot to touch when removed. Glad it's gone. Here is what I did. 1) Created system image of entire old HDD to additional external USB HDD using Windows 8 File Recovery tool just in case. 2) Purchased USB 3 to SATA cable. 3) Installed Reflect and viewed support page that explains how to use Reflect. IMPORTANT 4) Cloned all partitions of old HDD in the same order that they are listed under source disk (0) in Reflect. Since is was downsizing from 512 GB old HDD to 240 GB SDD, I paused after dragging C: into destination disk to resize it down to 197 GB and set the drive letter from Auto to C. 5) Added all subsequent partitions including D for recovery (25 GB). Finished Clone keeping all partitions at original size except for C drive. 5) Shut down laptop and swapped out the hard drives and rebooted. Windows 8 recognized the SSD and there was no need to go into EUFI. 5 |

I use the PNY 128gb Turbo 3.0 flash drive to back up my extensive photo work and also my video's. Being USB 3 it's much faster and the size (physical size) of the drive is ideal for for storage. Doesn't take up space and easy to bring along if need be to show work on it. A HDD I had for backup failed and I lost tons of images. I still use a HDD but this gives me an extra margin of safety. This makes 3 now for storage. Couldn't be happier or more at ease. 5 |
