Makeshift Studio Monitor Stands

I always have a couple of these. When my steadicam monitor got damaged on set and we had to do with a makeshift monitor replacement, I used one of these. My Steadicam monitor uses a yoke, not a center 1/4-20 or 3/8...so my gaffer had one of these on a gobohead and it did the trick. Since then, i've always had one with me. They're great to send up a camera on a c-stand for a high shot---really great for gopros. In fact, I actually use one of these with a pair of gobo arms to make a ballast if I have to use a gopro b/c you can control it better on an arm---makeshift jib. I recently bought these to mount into an Obox. The obox handles are so much, I dremelled off the 1/4-20 part of it (the Obox side handles are 3/8ths), dremelled/sanded off the knurled center part (brass is very malleable) and sanded it down to 15mm and used some handles I had designed for 15mm rods---two of these and some time (I already had the handles) was a lot cheaper than the $800-some dollars for the Obox handles.

I just finished setting up my home studio and these stands definitely are worth the money! If you are looking for studio monitor stands, Pyle is the way to go!!!

I used this for a makeshift video studio in my garage where I record promos, commercials and Odysee videos. It's definitely MUCH more effective than green cloth, house paint or other budget solutions. The color purity is excellent and I can do clean comps with a simple color matrix in my editor rather than specialized plugins, which is nice (efficient). I'm using a proper 3-chip video camera so that also makes a difference due to the better color purity of the camera itself. I only needed to cover a 260CMx150CM area so I still have some left after several coats.

The Varipoles save so much space when doing in-home makeshift studio work. Doesn't mar surfaces on floor or ceiling due to the rubber ends. Very secure in holding backgrounds up to 108. I bought the hooks and clamps to hang a crossbar. Super simple and fast. Breaks down in a few minutes. The poles are fairly long when collapsed so keep that in mind if you want to travel with the setup. So happy I purchased this. It makes shooting in my home so much easier.

I use these in a makeshift home studio and I wish I'd bought them a long time ago. They are well-built stable and securely hold whatever I hang on them.

The pair of studio monitor stands are quite sturdy and the price was well positioned. A very good value. I like the variation in height capability.

I'm pleased with my purchase of the Auray LMS-335 studio monitor stands. The assembly directions could have been a bit clearer, and the small print required me to use a magnify glass, but once assembled, I could not be happier with this purchase.

It only took a few minutes to assemble and position these stands. I use them for my computer's M-AUDIO studio monitor speakers. Since I installed the stands, I've been wondering why I didn't buy them sooner. The sound is so much better having the speakers at the right height.

C-Stands are great, but these are more useful in a studio environment.

We are a small studio and have 4 Avenger C stands and they are most always working for us.
