I manage hundreds of employees across multiple sites and one of the hardest things to accomplish is the management of individual disparate devices on the network. Ubiquiti has developed an awesome system of centrally managed devices in their UniFi line that has made my life easier. Not only are they incredibly simple to deploy, manage and use... but the features they offer are top notch. Access Point roaming allows my users to move freely from location to location without ever having to change which AP they connect to. Multiple networks controlled centrally allows me to offer guest networks segmented away from my corporate VLAN. I can even setup a paid hotspot network for anyone I feel like charging to use our WiFi connection. They also have a ticketed guest wifi system that will allow you to print out temporary tags to hand out to your visitors that are valid for a pre-set amount of time and then automatically de-activate. This empowers my receptionist without a need to interact with IT at all. Not to mention, these are very stable and very powerful. I couldn't recommend them more. 5 |
