Manual For Sony A6000

I purchased this lens for landscape photography with my Sony A6000 primarily. For my first manual lens, it was easy to get accustomed to. The focus ring is smooth, the aperture ring is stout, and the overall build quality feels really great. The best part of the lens is definitely the image quality. For the price, can you get any sharper? I also use this lens for action shots in mountain biking and it does really well for that as well.

Purchased this lenses at B&H for my Sony A6000. Keep in mind -this a fully MANUAL lense - No complaining please. Construction - Excellent, a little too well-built for the A6000. For it's size, it's heavy. Mount fits snugly, will notice minimal shifting when jerking the camera, but it's expected - weighs more than the camera. Lens cap good; Mount cap garbage. A true wide angle. Very easy to get the whole frame in focus and sweet subjects isolated when needed. Focus ring is great - for my liking. Aperture is clicked. Center starts sharpening best at F2.0 Corners Best from F4-F8. Better Contrast than the Sony 50mm 1.8, 55mm-210mm, Sigma 19MM, 30MM, 60MM, Can sometimes can be sharper than all of the above. If you really want a quality FULLY MANUAL wide angle lens, then buy it. Otherwise, Touit, Rokinon 12MM F2 (ULTRAWIDE). WARNING: A. Bad lense shadowing when using on-board flash on the SONY A6000. B. Will have to set a custom key to use Focus Magnification. (I used the center dial key - lost Eye AF) Will not automatically pull up this feature like other supported Sony lenses. C. Goodbye Quick Hybrid AF features.

I'm using the E-mount version on a Sony A6000. I was interested in the manual aspects of this lens. It's fun because it forces you to think about your focus and depth of field. It is surprisingly well-made for the money and feels solid. I recommend getting a snap-in lens cap - the provided one is nice but won't stay on once you add a filter. I looked at some reviews of more expensive options in the f0.95 category, but their quality seems quite comparable to this bargain. There is a bit of fringing, especially compared to a higher-end lens like the Sony/Zeiss 24mm f1.8, but I think this lens is a great value and useful for various creative shots.

I got this for use on my Sony A6000 and A6300. I admit I didn't even read the manual; just plugged it in and tried it with 100% success. It turns out that I can increase the shutter time when using this in conjunction with a monopod to 1/2 second or longer which is pretty impressive! And all that convenience for a very reasonable price makes this a must have for Sony camera owners.

Bought this lens for wide angle on my Sony a6000 and just love it. The learning curve for manual focus is pretty simple. The believe the image quality is excellent and a notch or two above the Sony 10-18 zoom. Samyang was cheaper than Rokinon (in black) which is odd, since the two lenses are identical. No regrets at all on purchasing this lens.

If you have a Sony Camera, you will love this one it does everything. If you are undecided, watch Gary Fong's video a6000 on B & H. If you have owned any kind of Sony product you know it does not come with a manual, there is a .pdf manual at the support site.

I am new to my Sony a6000, so everything is a learning experience. No different with this lens, that is manual. You definitely need to watch a you tube tutorial on how to set your camera up for using a non sony and manual lens but once you get that dialed in it is pretty easy. I have used it on one major photo expedition, and like the images I am getting with this lens. The image posted was bracketed and then I ran it though Nik HDR. I also cropped some of the bottom of the image, but the width of view is what the camera/lens shot.
