Marine Weather Underground Catalina Island

the image Apple uses for Catalina says it all...a barren island with dangerous drops for anyone going there. We hope Big Sur will be better however....a major part of that Big Sur did just fall into the sea! The iMac, once given the extra memory, becomes a real workhorse. I have three of them and thanks to B and H the price was right on.

I have it in a weather resistant enclosure in my bbq island. I have two sets of wired speakers wired to it. I stream music to my backyard. Works awesome!!

We were looking for a new travel size binoculars as we cruise Transatlantic & Transpacific. Our marine binoculars from West Marine were great while boating but are heavy and take up took much carry on space. Working on a major marine Oil & Gas project, the Fujinon Marine Binocular is perfect for the application and conditions. They are being used by a specialty environmental group to spot turtles and other marine species which may come into contact with work being performed on this project. The camera takes very good pictures. We thought we were going to not need the light, but I wish we had taken it to Catalina.

The manufacturer has updated the drivers for Catalina OS. The adapter works as it should, I am very pleased!

Great vest. I'm using it in an underground coal mine. It's like having an extra pair of hands. It distributes weight evenly. I use it for batteries, flashes, all sorts of accessories. There are no pockets for big lenses, but that's O.K. It would make the vest too heavy and cumbersome. It's pretty good at repelling lime and coal dust and water and is not likely to tear easily. Pockets are lined with soft material, which is easy on lenses. These vests are a little pricey, but worth it. They're professional gear and are made for rugged use.
