Maximus Drone With Camera

Installed on my Maximus XI Apex and it's awesome 10g speeds.

Small but good, enough for my camera and drone.

I built my last computer in like NOV-DEC of 2013. The motherboard was a ASUS ROG Maximus VI Hero (Intel-compatible). It has worked flawlessly all these years, and I couldn't ask for more. It still works. I decided it's time to upgrade because I wanted an ultrawide monitor. The last thing I wanted to do was have to tear all the components out and RMA a board, costing me HOURS of my life, all for saving $100 of a cheaper MB on the front end. So I opted for the once again flagship product from Asus and my expectations are high!

I am submitting a better picture of the top band. Note the Maximus comes with a fitting for a top band that works perfect with one inch nylon.

The SureFire Maximus is solidly made. Variable light is very useful. The light is very bright at max. Downsides include 1. It is a little heavy 2. the headlamp can get hot at maximum on your forehead. Expensive, but well crafted. I would buy again.

I use the Maximus during nightly walks with hiking poles around areas of the neighborhood with no street lamps; to inspect house renovation progress; in other dimly lit areas around the house. I appreciate the ability to adjust the brightness quickly with one hand turning a knob. The charge seems to be lasting a long time as well. I wear a hat with a short brim because the Maximus is heavy and would otherwise slip down over my eyes. I called Surefire Customer Service, but they have no top strap available although the forehead piece can accommodate a top strap. There may be aftermarket or DIY options for the top strap. I would still buy the Maximus again for my application. The light quality and ease of use is fantastic, and Surefire produces and stands behind their quality light tools.

I received this free with the purchase of the SureFire Maximus Headlamp. Put it on my key chain. It's useful. About 2 1/2 inches long and 1/4 " diameter.

So far, the Maximus is awesome. I use it to work on home computer installetions in areas with low or reduced lighting. It is comfortable, provides as much light as needed per environment. No complaints so far. B&H as always is very supportive.

Best headset I've ever owned! I went with the Asus Z690 Maximus Hero motherboard and couldn't pass up the new Asus Rog Animate keyboard and Asus Rog Animate headset.

I am using it on an FPV drone, perfect, compact camera, great for flying.
