I'm a boom operator and had been meaning to upgrade, and this pole seals the deal. With an internal coiled cable, there are never any snags when raising or lowering the pole. The internal cable does produce some handling noise, but if you're not herky jerky with it, it'll never become a problem. Also, the XLR output on the side of the pole is a really nice touch. I can unplug and detach from the pole with ease and I can lean it standing up without worry of the cable being pressed down upon. It's a bit pricey for just a pole, but let me assure you, it is NOT just a pole. Outstanding design! And hopefully I'll never have to buy another one! 5 |
