Mechanical Keyboard 1U Ctrl Key Not Lit
FotoFlash | 2024-08-03 06:39:59 |
Being a long time PC extended keyboard user and even Apple II mechanical keyboard, I was having a hard time using the chiclet-style, no number pad, no DELETE key Mac keyboard that came with my iMac. The Das Keyboard solved all those problems. It is heavy (built like a battleship) and doesn't slide around. The click and feel let me know when keystroke is done. Easy to feel the edges of the keys and know where I am on the keyboard. Extra CTRL key on right is nice and both left and right CTRL keys are in the same relative position, not getting confused with the FN key as on the Apple keyboard. Having a DEL key in normal PC location is great. The round sound volume knob works fine for me. I don't have any problem with the 6+ foot cord to connect to the iMac - glad it is not short. The 2 USB3 ports also work fine for me and are appreciated. The only downside for me is the sharp edge at my wrists and no wrist rest. That is easily remedied at the store. A less expensive, PC keyboard would also have worked functionally and you have to decide what is best for you. Having the keys (CTRL, OPTION/ALT, CMD) labelled correctly makes the transition from PC to MAC easier. For me, the weight and feel and click of the keyboard was worth the extra cost. 5 |

I own a number of Logitech products. I have had little or no problems with any of them, and this extends to this keyboard. Well lit, key motion is smooth, and sturdy. The only complaint, and I use that term loosely, is there is no backspace key. Outstanding keyboard and will continue to purchase Logitech products. All of these accolades also are extended to B&H. Always a wide variety of products to choose from, at great prices, and outstanding customer service. Highly recommend them. 5 |

This keyboard gives you a nice typing experience. The keys have a good feel and are well lit (although I was told that you can't fully reduce the lighting, you can make it nearly invisible). Some complain that the cap key doesn't doesn't indicate that you've actuated it, but there's a bright light on the upper right that removes any doubt. The key sound is nice, but maybe a little louder than I expected for Brown Switches. Make sure you understand in what ways you can and cannot customize this keyboard. 5 |

This keyboard is my first mechanical keyboard. Amazing keyboard, with the Cherry MX Blue switches (there are other kinds as well) giving good feedback and audible click. Would definitely recommend this keyboard! Key puller- make sure you have it gripped on the bottom of the key; not on the side. Pull up straight, not at an angle. Use the 'FN' key to use the functions on the F keys (the top row of keys) B&H Photo Video shipped it kinda slow, but it was the holiday season! 5 |

I went from a membrane keyboard to the mechanical keyboard; a bit of a transition to adjust to the key noise and height. HOWVER, the ease of typing and the 'feel' as you type is great. Very responsive keyboard and I love the backlit keys. 5 |

I really like the Apple keyboard. I only wish it was back-lit. 5 |

Added this 1U appliance to my rack and now I can see into areas of the rack that weren't well lit previously. I also appreciate the RED light feature which still illuminates the devices in the rack. Another great addition to my rack. 5 |

This is the best keyboard I have ever used. I particularly like the "stealth" key! 5 |

It gives you the nice, clean feeling of a mechanical keyboard, but it's silent!! 5 |
