This is an optical and mechanical marvel. The Tilt-Shift controls are exceptionally versatile. The Tilt and the Shift can set independently or coupled together. This makes changing from horizontal to vertical format simple. A tripod is advised in almost all situations as is very small umbrella to shield the bulbous front lens element. 5 |

I really enjoy this capable compact camera. I love that the controls are mechanical dials. My usual cameras are a full frame dslr and an iPhone. This is the perfect in-between. The image quality appears to be much better than a smartphone's output. The portability of the D-LUX-7 is much better than the dslr. This fits into my pocket but has full controls on dials just like a dslr unit. 5 |
