Mechanical Keyboard Tier List

I'm not devoted to any particular brand of mechanical HDD; over many years I've had reliable service from a wide variety of Seagate and WD drives. The lower tier OEM drives installed in pre-built mass market computers tend to have slower read/write speeds, which can be annoying. This Seagate NAS HDD, which is definitely not lower tier, is quiet, reliable, and delivers about 220 MB/Sec. 5 |

I'll use it in my home studio. This is just what I was looking for to save space in my studio. I really use it as a third tier for a third keyboard. 5 |

It gives you the nice, clean feeling of a mechanical keyboard, but it's silent!! 5 |

The ROG Claymore II is the best mechanical keyboard I've ever used. The responsiveness is incredible! 5 |

This stand has been supporting both of my keyboards (both of which weight around 45 lbs each) at home and on the road. I have nothing but good things to say about this stand. It is fairly easy to setup and tear down and I have had one since 2001. When I lost a piece of the second tier, I bought another one four years ago and I have to say they made even more improvements. This stand has multiple adjustments that can be made to facilitate whatever kind of setup you need. I am a hard player and the stand is rock solid when I'm slamming down on the first tier keyboard. It is a bit more unstable when I bang on the second tier, but my second tier keyboard does weight over 45lbs and is a 76 key model. It is definitely the most solid two-tier X-Style keyboard stand I have played on. Another advantage is this stand goes lower in height than any other X-Style stand, at least in my searches which is why I originally went with the 642. My Yamaha CP33 keyboard is higher than most when it comes to the actual level of the keyboard. The fact that this stand goes down to 23 is a big advantage because I can have the actual keybed height at a somewhat normal level when sitting. it has lasted with me for nearly 20 years now. I can't say how it would last if I were gigging every night, but for me, who takes it out every now and then, it's the perfect stand for me. 5 |

I got this stand to replace my basic ProLine keyboard stand. I have an M-Audio Oxygen 61 on the bottom and my Akai MPK49 on the 2nd tier. The adjustability of the 2nd tier is great! I can easily utilize both keyboards at the same time. I only wish this stand had more options for the height/width of the bottom tier. It's also a lot bigger than my ProLine stand so it juts out further from the wall than I was expecting. The sturdiness of this stand makes up for the size, however. 5 |

So far I have only great things to say about this stand. I have an M-Audio Hammer 88 weighted keyboard on the lower tier, and an NI Komplete Kontrol 49 on top. Works great!!! 5 |
