Mechanical Keyboard With Volume Wheel

Yes they are pricey, but after many less expensive combos, I should of spent the extra money a long time ago. You get what you pay for. Outside of my mechanical keyboard that I use for gaming, this is easily the best keyboard I've owned. And, it's better for work than my mechanical keyboard. Everyone is different and has varying expectations, but I know 4 other coworkers who have recently purchased this and they also love it. I like having the 10-key but it does make it a much longer keyboard which could be an issue when carrying it around all the time. The mouse is the same, best wireless mouse I've used. Some of the features I didn't think I'd use or need, I can't imagine not having them now. The free spinning vertical scroll wheel option is amazing to me. The right and left clicks feel very good and responsive. The horizontal scroll wheel is a bit different. It feels a little tight but I've noticed that actually works better for me. The Logitech software allows you to set up and change some options on both keyboard and mouse so I would check that out as well. While it was a significant amount of money to lay out, I'm completely satisfied with the purchase and wish I would of bought it sooner. 5 |

I began video editing in the waning days of tape-to-tape editing when we used huge (by today's standards) mechanical editing systems. I don't miss those days at all... with one exception. The mechanical systems I used all included something called a jog-shuttle wheel that enabled you to easily move forward and backward in your footage either frame-by-frame, or at user-controlled continuously-variable speeds. I've used several digital video editing programs that attempt to simulate the function of a jog-shuttle wheel using mouse controls to manipulate an on-screen representation of the jog-shuttle. The effect is NOTHING like an actual jog-shuttle control.I cannot begin to describe how much of a productivity boost this device gives you. The five-button layout (buttons can either be custom programmed by you, or you can choose a default set of button behaviors), great design, and heavy, no-slip construction enable to sit it off to the side and use it without even looking at it.This device give you a degree of control when navigating your video timeline that you may never have experienced before. 5 |

I needed a dedicated metronome to practice guitar on that had volume control and was loud enough to hear while playing. This is much louder than my digital one and much simpler to use on a daily basis. There is nothing fancy about this...it feels solid and not cheap. All the controls are mechanical, which is honestly not a bad thing for this purpose. It has a 3-position sliding switch on the side for Off, Tone 1 and Tone 2. The other side has a very simple volume dial which can be adjusted by sliding your finger up/down along the side. The tempo is easily set by turning the dial on the front. The mechanical dial clicks and locks into each position as you turn it, which is really nice. And there is also a flashing light on the front which can be used as a visual reference, especially if you want the volume all the way down for a performance for example. This uses a 9V battery which lasts a long time. I have been using it daily for over 3 months, at high volume, and I have still not replaced the original battery. 5 |
