I've tried to make my own weightbags using sand or lead weights. They were okay...certainly not elegant. I purchased one of these Boa Weights and WOW. They are compact, completely versatile and they hold down my lightstands perfectly. They are heavy (I have 2-10lb and 1-15 lb bag) so I just sling them over my shoulder. 5 |

It took me a while to convince myself to make the purchase (because of the price). I have other bags and solid lead weights. My existing bags are DYI sand filled. This unit comes prefilled with beads. I love this boa because the upper handle can quickly wrap around a tripod leg, a light stand tightening screw or what ever in about 2 seconds. My other weight units can not. I have also carried it over my shoulder to get to the next field location. It is quality stitched and I am confident that it will last a long time. Yes, another tool in the box but I grab for it first over my other weights. 5 |

Essential to remove stuck filters... A tip... Use a lead pencil on the threads of the filter before installing. The layer of pencil lead acts like a lubricant and makes removal so much easier. 5 |
