Mercury Digital Camera

If you use an older camera that expected the 625 Mercury battery this is the available replacement,

I use it as a back up for my digital camera.

Works as a replacement for older mercury style batteries, although I’ve read that camera meters using alkaline batteries can be a little unreliable especially in brighter conditions.

I use a (film) Leitz-Minolta CL. This camera originally used the 625 mercury battery. The 625 has been discontinued due the mercury content. The A625PX will fit the camera, but the voltage is slightly higher. My CL battery circuit was adjusted to accept the higher voltage of the A625PX. The new battery keeps my CL working. B&H is the only place I can find these new batteries.

This battery is exactly what I needed for my film camera meter to work. It is meant to replace the mercury batteries that is not in production anymore. Would totally recommend! Happy film photography!

The Exell A32PX 6 volt alkaline battery is a direct fit replacement for the old mercury battery used in the Yashica Electro35 rangefinder 35mm camera. This batteries resuscitated the camera! The voltage is a bit higher than with the mercury, so you may need to tweak your exposure for critical work. With the Electro35 this is easily accomplished by changing the ISO (ASA) on the original Electro35. Frankly, shooting regular negative film didn’t require any change.

I love this camera it is the best of the best for a digital camera.
