Mesh Network Wifi

I have a large first generation Google Wifi network at home. With several 1st gen Google Wifi hooked up to the main router via Ethernet, and two 1st gen Google Wifi operating in wireless mesh-mode. I used this (2nd gen) Google Nest Wifi Router and Point to extend my network, by hard-wiring the router to extend my existing network, and running the Point as a mesh extension. Works well together with my existing network and allows me to roam around the house with my devices. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Orbi has excelled in this product of mesh wifi network and safety. Love the way it monitors for vulnerabilities and the network coverage is excellent. 5 |

We had the old google WiFi hub and were able to use the nest WiFi to create a whole mesh network for our home. There are no dead zones and everything runs great. Super easy set up. 5 |

To explain why I love this router I need to explain the issues I ran with another product. I've been using the Google WiFi for a while but I had some major issues with it. The biggest problem was that it's dependent on Google's infrastructure and when it was down, so was my home network. The 2nd problem was with my need to use my home WiFi in bridge mode to allow access to devices on my wired network, printers for example. To do this with Google WiFi I had to give up the mesh capability which defeats it's whole purpose. Now AMPLIFI AFi-HD. First of all it's doesn't rely on an external infrastructure to work. Second, it support mesh network in bridge mode, hence solving my access issues. In addition to this package I also purchased an additional mesh point to better cover my home.My home Wifi is now extremely fast and reliable. I have 100% signal strength in most of my home and no point in my 2 story home has less than 87% signal strength. I have no problem streaming 4K video from Netflix with speeds up to 65+Mbs while keep using other devices on the network with no noticeable slow-down. I am now waiting for the release of the Teleport which is supposed to make it possible to take my network on the road. 5 |

Finally sprung for a Netgear Orbi Mesh WiFi system. Boy, was it worth it!!! One, yes one, only one network SSID throughout my house. I have a fairly large home so that was very important for me. No more extenders, different network names in various parts of the house...fantastic. A quick call to Spectrum and was up and running in 5 minutes. I replaced my excellent Nighthawk router because it just did not have the coverage I needed. Lastly, I definitely picked up additional internet speed with my Orbi mesh system. 5 |

Works as advertised. I love the plugged-in power so that the cameras are always on and recording. I liked that the wifi cameras connect to the NVR via my home (mesh) wifi network and not its own "home base wifi station" (b/c then I may need repeaters; I got a home mesh wifi network so I wouldn't need repeaters). 5 |

Delivers over 260 mbps in my home cable linksys / mesh wifi setup, without getting into advanced network tweaking, etc. Plug in and run speed test... that's all 5 |

Orbi WiFi 6 mesh network works great with my cable internet provider. Speeds are higher than I’m accustomed to on WiFi and I would highly recommend. 5 |

I purchased the Orbi6 mesh network to patch up the WiFi holes in our house. I admittedly purchased a system that was a little overkill size-wise, but I have zero gaps in coverage anywhere in the house now, including the basement. As an added bonus, I’ve found that WiFi appears to reach every corner of our backyard and front yard throughout my 1.5 acre property. Perfect for listening to my tunes while doing yard work! Also, despite all our devices, there is no loss in individual internet speed, which is great since I’m teleworking and both kids are in virtual school with a lot of video conferencing. At one point, all 3 of us were on video conferences at the same time, and we had other devices running as well, and we experienced zero lag. Amazing system! 5 |

Probably overkill for my currently 4 AP wifi mesh home network, but i also used this with the omada vpn router and a poe switch for a quick and seemless install and making the IT folks that i know drop their jaws with the network topography map this gives. I wish the floorplan allowed you to enter a scale and then show wifi AP coverage just for giggles, but what it has is also really cool just to look at if you have a floorplan to upload. 5 |
