Metal Speaker Receivers

All of our microphones work well through this unit. We don't use them over a great distance, but our receivers are in a metal rack, so we need external antennae. These are doing well.

I use this along with the Sennheiser Nt 2-3-Us Power Supply to convert a battery powered source to a AC power source. My uses for these two products are for setting up wireless speaker systems using body pack style transmitters and receivers to send a wireless signal from my audio mixer to the speakers without using (or needing) speaker cables. You will never again have to use batteries (for the transmitters and receivers) when you incorporate The DC 2 - DC Camera Power Converter and the Nt 2-3-Us Power Supply to send the signal. After 15 years of running speaker cables, taping down on walkways and over door ways, this investment was WELL worth it! I run my speakers wirelessly now with ease and convenience!

You could pay more for other high end receivers, but why would you?

I am triggering my receivers at 1/4000 TTL :-)

The sound quality is excellent. I listen to rock, jazz, metal, country, it all sounded awesome to me. The bass and treble is perfect. My receiver is connected to a cassette deck, cd player, and turntable.I like the remote that came with it. The bluetooth is easy to connect to other Bluetooth devices. The one problem i had was with both the manual and back of the unit for speaker hookups. Picking which speaker output to use for the speakers I have (8 ohms) very confusing for me, probably not a problem for anyone else.

I picked up, and used a set of these stands, for the first time, this weekend. My initial impression is very positive. Case: Heavy duty. Two separated compartments(one for each stand). The two-pack with the case is imperative. These stands are beautiful, and should always be protected Aesthetics: Best looking speaker stands on the market. No more beat-up label scratched speaker stands, with bulky tripod legs. This stand folds into a single cylinder. Clamp design is simple. But, if the clamp isn't facing you, it's a little difficult to know which way to release it. Engineering: Pneumatics - Awesome. I set my K12.2's on the stand, flipped open the clamp, and up it went. If your speaker is under the weight limit for the lift, you'll need to pull it down, with a little force. It would be nice to have some way of indicating your preferred speaker height (I'm OCD, 'nuff said). Speaker Pole: Adapts to 35 mm. It would have been nice to put a plastic insert at the top of the pole. As it is now, it's exposed metal. When you sit your speaker on the speaker pole, the contact is metal to metal. Tripod Design: Overall design is very solid. I never felt my speakers were compromised, due to shabby construction of the stand. As noted by another reviewer, the knob to retain the extension, came loose during setup. Also, the red rubber feet on the bottom of the stand were easily removed. Hopefully, they won't loosen further, over time. I appreciate the time that Gator put into designing these speaker stands. They are definitely worth the price. Gator has managed to change my perception of the products with this series. I'm now considering the Frameworks microphone stands.

I use this mic to make short films for our community connection outreach projects at the police department. Very clean and crisp. I recently used it to film a meeting in a place with a lot of echo, and i was sure the speaker's words were going to be lost and that i would have to spend a while on noise reduction, but no, picked up the speaker, minimal echo, I was very surprised, maybe you can get a better sounding mic, but for hundreds more that's for sure. This mic will make a difference in your films, no matter what you shoot. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that it has a metal liner plate inside the base for boom poles of two sizes to screw in securely. If i was to make one suggestion, it would be to make the mounting shoe out of metal, just to reduce the unlikely POSSIBILITY of it breaking,

The thing I like most about this twin speaker stand set is that (as far as I can tell) they are made of metal and rubber which gives the impression that it will last as I am alive. At the moment I have a smaller set of speakers on my desktop and as you can see from the pictures I've attached - it doesn't look bad and it definitely angles the speakers more to my face which is largely the point of these speaker stands. The rubber that the speakers sit on is a thick rubber and has plenty of grip so the speakers will not slide or tip over easily. Another feature to note here is that just having a set of these speakers on your desktop looks mighty professional and clean which is something I'm always conscious of. Like most items in the Auray line up these are affordable and your get your money's worth without having to pay a premium. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

Have it mounted on ceiling (took metal base plate off and attached to ceiling with wires) in a 24' X 35' room. We are using Skype to make the call and run the other parties voice through a surround speaker system. I have tried other mic's and this by far is the best. We speak at normal volume and it picks up almost everything. Used to receive complaints they could not hear the speaker and now have received almost no complaints. I highly recommend this product. I have it plugged into a Windows 7 PC, using an Andrea USB adapter. No additional software needed.
