Metal Television Stands

Not sure how to review an item like this.. it's metal, it's a rod, it's sturdy, �it clamps to my stands.

I have quite a bit of experience with all kinds of stands used in both television studio production and travel situations, and this seems to be really sturdy and an exceptional value. I also want to recognize the great customer service on the part of both B&H and Photoflex. The bag with this kit had damage when I opened the box, and both entities cooperated to get a replacement to me quickly.

Bought a set of these to use with my Kupo stands. Solid metal at a great price!

This is a very nice stand. It includes a wooden top unlike most of the cheap metal stands. Super nice for the $$.

I’m using it to hold extra c-stands in our grip van. It’s exactly what I needed for the small space I have for that. I appreciate that it’s solid metal and I shouldn’t have to worry about it bending or sagging under the weight.

The price was a bit steep for me, but the need for C-stands has become unavoidable. I worked on a lot of sets and in a lot of photo/video studios so I experienced a lot of different C-stands. These really are the best. The design of the turtle legs destroys every other brand. I love not having to twist a knob to get the legs open. They just flip open and securely lock in place. Flip them closed when done. Simple. As others have noted, the legs are welded and spring loaded. THIS matters. In keeps the stand low profile and keeps them tight. The materials are high-quality, yet the stands are lighter than most. There was never a point where I needed to re-tighten adjustments points. Mounted items never slipped or spun out of place once locked. Though the cost was a bit high compared to other kits, it was worth it to me instead of buying cheaper stands where I might encounter issues like stripping and wear or needing to replace them sooner due to cheap construction. I feel like these stands are going to last me a very long time. I bought the kit with the case because I like things that fit together perfectly. The three stands fit perfectly in the bag without metal touching metal after some reshaping of the interior. It is no joke how heavy this thing is with three stands, legs, arms, & knuckles packed in. But it is nice to have everything organized together and no metal clanking around during transport. The wheels are solid. I absolutely recommend this kit and will buy Matthews again when I inevitably need more C-Stands.

The quality of this is insane for the price. Made of metal and it’s heavy! I’ve owned a few c stands and none of them are as well constructed as this one. It’s super tall too on the stand so make sure you have enough headroom when setting it up but so far I’m so impressed with this!

This is a great adapter. Works with my 40 year old light stands. All metal construction, except the knobs which are plastic. The supplied adapters work well with my old equipment

I bought two of these stands to hold speedlights that will be used to light backdrops. It comes with the 1/4 threaded stud to which you can attach an optical slave, or use the collar to attach an umbrella/softbox bracket. All clamps are metal screws threading into metal receivers, so you're NOT going to strip out plastic threads. It's a nice sized base as well, covering up to almost 3 feet. Great product for your money!
