I am addicted to my MCT7 cable tester. I run various video outside broadcast setups and constantly work with a large range of cabling. This cable tester forms an integral part of my problem solving process. Also handy to figure out pin configuration on balanced to unbalanced XLR cables. I also use this cable tester to check cabling after every rental. It shows cable continuity and short-circuits in cables, as well as correct pin configuration. 5 |

Very easy to identify faulty line of XLR cable. I whish I had the tester when I worked as a sound engineer for my Church - when I took over the position, there were tons of dead XLR cables that I could have traced faulty line easily if I had this tool. 5 |
