Micro Innovations Mini Pc Microphone

Was in doubt what to buy - micro-PC or mac mini. I don't need extreme performance, this is supposed to be my second computer. I've chosen mac mini and it works perfectly well. It is so small, so quiet and at the same time it does everything I need, including all musical DAWs and not-so-small music projects with a lot of tracks and VSTs.

I'm building my first PC build and found this mini pc case fell in love. Everything that went into this is amazing and so well thought out! I loved the note from the company which included schematic drawings of the case with notes of features. I haven't finished my build yet but can't wait to have this case displayed on my desk! I feel like I will admire this case forever! I love the size of it too. It's so cute and easy to move around!!

I was tired of having to use the mini to PC and PC to mini adapter when connecting my Pocket Wizards to my ABs. The 3' Mini Male to Mini Male cables by Hosa are the perfect replacement. The 3' length gives plenty of distance between the Pocket Wizards and the strobes so there is no EMF interference that may cause a misfire. I have used the cables on several shoots (that have lasted over 10 hours) and have had no issues. I no longer have to worry about losing those small Pocket Wizard adapters.

This is a great microphone. It does not require an audio interface. Simply plug it to your computer through USB and there you go! It also has an option for monitoring with zero latency. The default microphone sound level is too quite for my listeners. So, I use peace + equalizer combo software to adjust its dB output level (+18dB). I compared to my Rode Mini USB condenser microphone. Q2U had a more natural sounding and rich audio. Rode mini USB sounded little dull (or muffled). However, Q2U has much more ambient noise which requires more editing time at post production. As a teacher, I do not have extra time for that. So, I prefer Rode mini USB for my lecture recordings and I may use Q2U for broadcasting where recording is not a priority. Finally, this info can be useful to some: Q2U doesn't work with Notability on iPad Pro (3rd Gen), Rode Mini USB does.
