One of the best USB3.0 to SATA3 cables out there, It works faultlessly with SATA-3 SSDs and 2.5in mechanical drives but I would not expect it to work with 3.5in drives due to the limited power available from a single USB 3.0 port. This cable is one of the few that supports trimming SSDs over USB 3.0. If using fstrim with Linux, a udev rule may be needed. Instructions on how to do this are on the web. 5 |

I have been using StarTech USB 3 to SATA adapter cables for quite a few years without any issues whatsoever. My most recent purchase was the USB 3.1 (10 Gbps) SATA to USB C version. For large files, the copy speeds are in the range of 300-400 Mbps, which is excellent. The USB 3 to SATA adapter cables are very handy for adding an external SSD to a laptop with a very small footprint. 5 |

Many of my external drives shipped with Micro-USB 3.2 Gen 2 cables that had the older USB A connector on the other end, which necessitated finding a USB A to Usb C adaptor to connect with my Mac. Was really happy to find these and eliminate the need for the adaptor. 5 |

Bought 2 of these cables with the intent to chop in half and solder the DIN connector of an Ultrasync One stock cable to make a direct timecode cable for Sony FX-3/30 cameras. With a little continuity test, solder, and heat shrink it works perfectly. These micro USB Multi connectors are longer with more pins than regular micro USB. Internal wires: Red=3.5mm Tip=Timecode, Yellow and Black=3.5mm Ring and Sleeve=Ground. Use this info as you like! 5 |
